I was met with Luke's beautiful green eyes. He had pulled me into the janitor's closet. He grabbed me and hugged me tightly inhaling my scent. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me as close to him as possible while I placed my arms around his neck. I buried my face in the crook of his neck as he did the same.

"I'm sorry you had to see me that way." I hugged him tighter. Rubbing circles on his back.

"No need to be sorry, Luke. She deserves way more than just that." I slowly pulled back. I could tell that he didn't want to stop our embrace, but he pulled back and kept his eyes to the ground. I gently placed my thumb on his chin and my index finger under his chin, pulling his head up ever so slightly so that he looks me in the eyes. He had tears in his eyes... he was trying to hold back from crying. He was trying to hide this side of him from me. I jumped up into his arms and hugged him tighter than ever before. His hands went down to my thighs and pulled me up. I wrapped my legs around his torso as we stood in the janitors closet hugging.

We were hugging for most of lunch when a bright light came through and I heard kids laughing. Luke carefully but quickly placed me back on my feet and I turned around to see what was happening. The janitor was standing there with the door open holding a mop. Kids were walking to classes and laughing.

"Luke, you know that you are my favorite student at this school, but I would prefer if you kept my closet a PDA free zone. Thank you."

"Max, nothing happened in here. I promise." Luke shook Max's hand, then grabbed mine pulling me out of the closet. We walked down the corridor hand in hand. I checked the time and realized that we only had three minutes to get to the third story for class.

Just as the bell rang, Luke and I ran into class. We doubled over in laughter, but when we stood up straight again, everyone was looking at us. Paisley looked pissed. Hell, everyone looked pissed. Everyone but our teacher. She shook her head but wore a huge smile. I could tell that she was holding in laughter. She told us to sit down so we went to the back of the class and sat in the two empty desks.

Throughout the period, Luke, our teacher, and I made conversation. We talked about everything. Literally. We literally avoided anything that had to do with school or Paisley or even our teacher's class she was supposed to be teaching. The kids who were having trouble would raise their hands, and since our teacher didn't see them and I'm such a nice young lady, I got up and helped them out. Yeah. Most of the kids I helped were either cheerleaders or football players. And yeah cheerleaders and football players hate me. But I mean if they want to pass this class and graduate, they had no other choice but let me help them.

After school

I was at my locker getting my things ready to leave. I heard the bus pull up and begin to load students. I almost freaked out because I forgot I drove to school now that I have a car, but I stayed calm. I heard the bus leave and then heels clicking down the hallway.

"Well well well. Look who we have here. Little miss I get everything I want, including Luke. FYI bitch, he's not yours. And he never will be." I kept my back towards Paisley and her entourage. I didn't want to have to deal with that level of psycho. I quickly finished getting everything in my bag, shut my locker, and whipped around ready to leave. I went to walk away from them when I felt a cold, small hand grab onto my upper arm.

"Let loose of me, Paisley. You have a boyfriend. And your boyfriend is not Luke. He hates your guts about as much as you hate mine. Except you don't have any guts so..." I smirk and pull out of her grip. I walk towards the door and push it open and walk to my car.

"What took you so long, Beautiful? I've been waiting for like thirty minutes," Luke says to me as I walk towards my car.

"Sorry, Handsome. Got mauled by Paisley and her bitches. But don't worry. I dealt with them." He smiled brightly and grabbed my hand, pulling me closer to him. He was leaning against my car so when he pulled me towards him, I fell into his chest.

We talked for a while then decided that we should get home.

"Gorgeous, there's a party tomorrow. Want to come with me?" I smile at his nicknames for me and throw my bag into my car.

"Yeah. Why not? What time are you picking me up?"

"7 p.m. sharp. Be ready and outside your house by then." He smiles and gets in his car and speeds away. I roll my eyes and hop in mine and drive towards my house. But the closer I get to my house, the more I wish that I was still stuck at school with Paisley. It would be better than what I was about to walk into when I got home.
