Bianca: Put this in your mouth *passes Mantis a cigarette*

*Now teaching her how to smoke*

Mantis: Thanks! *pops it into her mouth and proceeds to eat it*

Everyone: NO NO NO DON'T!—

Mantis: *swallows the cigarette whole* This churro tastes so bitter. Where did you buy it??

Bianca: *frantically rushes behind her and gives her the Helich* C'mon, Mantis. Cough! Cough!

Mantis: *being thrusted uncomfortably* What are you doing to me, Bianca?? Stop it! *trying to get her to let go*

Bianca: *struggles to hold on to her* I'm trying to save your life here!

Mantis: From what?? That was a churro I just swallowed. It isn't going to hurt me *remains calm*

Bianca: No it's not and it will mess you up if you don't get it out of you soon! *starts slapping Mantis on the back* Luna! What type did you get?

Luna: Mavericks. It's ok, though. It says on the label that if indigested, the person has three hours until their lungs collapse—

Bianca: *immediately holds Mantis by her shoulder and guides her out the door* Then c'mon! We're not letting this Newborn perish as we did last time.

Mantis: *lying down on a hospital mat, tranquil so her doctor can attempt surgery on her*

Bianca: *sits in the waiting room nervously with Phoebe, Skye and Luna* How did this happen?! *asks Luna angrily*

Luna: *calmly lights her cigarette* I had nothing to do with it. She decided to eat it, and I respected her wishes.

Phoebe: So you knew this would happen *horrified*

Luna: I counted on it.

Bianca: This is not how you welcome a Cobra, Luna. You violated the code!

Luna: I violated the code?! You were the one who left the last Newborn in the mercy of the police!

Bianca: What do you mean??

Luna: *sits down languidly beside Bianca* Do you remember Abigail?

Bianca: The girl who got pregnant at fifteen years old??

Luna: That's the one ... You didn't do anything to save her.

Bianca: She was dying anyways! She terrorised the city and got us our criminal records in the first place!

Luna: She's your sister!

*Shouting at each other*

Bianca: No she's not!

Luna: You always talk about the Cobras as one, big family of yours. But do you even know what it feels like to lose a part of yourself?!

Bianca: *anger deflates* ... No.

Luna: *scoffs* That's what I thought.

Bianca: *opens her mouth to protest*

Peter: *barges into the waiting room* Where is she?! *desperate and in so much worry*

Hospital Nurse: Please sit down, sir—

Peter: Can I see her??

Hospital Nurse: She'll be ok! Our best doctor's performing incision to remove the cigarette from her gallbladder. I know you're under stressed, sir, but you have to understand the importance of—

Peter: Listen Ms. Poofiness! If you won't let me walk through that door and see my girlfriend, I'll have to force my way in cuz it's not like she's gonna walk out unharmed—

Mantis: *walks dizzily through the doorway and into the waiting room*

Peter: Mantis! *scoops her into his arms and holds up her head to him* Are you ok?? Are you hurt?? Who did this and—

Mantis: OH! Youuuuuu look familiar. Have we met? *unfocused and groggy from the sedatives*

Peter: Bugsy, it's me—

Mantis: Hi, Me! I'm Mantis, and these are my friends Bianca, Phoebe, Skye and her *gestures to them sitting against the wall*

Peter: *seizes the Hospital Nurse by her arm* What did your "best doctor" do to her?!

Hospital Nurse: The patient was getting quite unruly from the Maverick she digested, so Dr. Hellion insisted we sedate her—

Peter: She doesn't even know who I am anymore, but she remembers them! *points to the Cobras* How do you explain that?!

Hospital Nurse: Well, after taking the sedation, the patient may experience loss of past memories, but will be able to keep her most recent ones.

Peter: So that means I'm nothing to her now?? *upset and hurt*

Hospital Nurse: Fortunately not, for the patient will obtain her memories back in a couple of days, so she'll return to normal in a short matter of time.

Mantis: *grabs the Hospital Nurse's face and squishes it* You're so pretty, and you're really handsome! *grabs Peter and the Hospital Nurse's hands and links them together* You'd be a perfect match! You two should start dating!

Hospital Nurse: Oh no, we're not—he's just a visitor—

Mantis: Nonsense! I think you two look great together! I'll leave you to it *strolls out of the waiting room, completely forgetting about Bianca and the others*

Bianca: Hey, Mantis! Where are you going?! *runs after her*

Peter: Hey hey hey wait for me! *sprints after Mantis*

Luna: Just leave her. We can track her down in a matter of hours.

*Phoebe and Skye follow behind Bianca*

Luna: ... No? Ok, I'm on my own then *snatches a juice box from a passing kid and starts drinking from it*
