Pete's POV
I woke up to find myself in a really bright room with a small man clinging to my good side. I looked down at Patrick, his eyes closed and lips slightly parted. Almost as if I couldn't do anything else, I smiled at him and placed a soft kiss on his cheek.
I heard someone clear their throat and I looked up to see Brendon awkwardly standing in the doorway.
"Hey, come in man."
He just stood there for a while before coming over to the side Patrick was not on and pulled a chair to my bedside. He clasped his hands in his lap and looked at them.
"Brendon?"
He looked up and took a deep breath, "I'm sorry about what I did, I took things a little too far. I was just in a state of panic, I..."
I reached down and took his hand in mine, "Brendon. I am NOT mad at you! I appreciate what you did, what happened to me was not your fault. It was not your intention and I appreciate you protecting my Patrick." I look down at Patrick still sleeping and smile.
I looked up at Brendon and he looks me in the eye for the first time since the accident. He smiles and I smile back. Patrick stirs and finally sits up letting out a loud yawn. He looks at us and smiles before he looks at me and I give him a kiss.
"Good Mornin... What time is it?"
Brendon looks at his phone, "2:15"
"WHAT?! PETE WHY DID YOU LET ME SLEEP SO LONG?!"
Brendon and I both looked at each other stunned, "I...I didn't know you wanted to be up early."
I laughed as he stood up and started pacing the room. He walks around in circles 4 times before he stops and realizes we aren't on the bus.
He turns to look at me and makes a face that could only mean 'are you fucking kidding me?'.
"Hospital babe, remember?"
He blushes realizing he was pacing around looking for his clothes in an enviroment that he mistook for our normal one. He walks back over and sits down. I am still grinning and i open my mouth to speak but he quickly sticks his index finger in my face.
"Shut it Wentz."
