Delphi's  POV

Let's get to work punk! I yelled hoping to get him moving. He didn't move. I started to walk away.

Hey, wait up!

Assassins wait for no one.

We sat down at the table and i pulled out the file.

Here is our first assignment.

So who's the target?

I like for it to be a surprise so i usually wait for my partner to get here so we can get excited together but i'm the top assassin in the business so now i just kill as the boss says.

Got it what's he look like and what's the address?

He got dark green hair and black eyes. It looks like contacts and dye. It also says that he is part of the human species. Wow don't get a lot of those around here. Oh and the address is 2242 city west apartments room 2A, top floor. Get ready we'll meet back here in 5.

He was staring at me again.

Punk get a move on.

He ran. As i waited i realized that he was the guy who bumped into me this afternoon. Man was i going to beat him after shift. He ran back with his mask, dagger, a new cloak, and something else that i couldn't place. We covered our wings with a special wing cover so that no feathers could fall out while we fly. Also because then no one would recognise our wings in the day time we covered our faces with the masks and we walked out the door and out the back entrance. We flew and after a few moments of silence he asked what the targets name is.

His name is Gene Tam but i don't think it matters.

What school does he go to?

Same as me.

You go to school with him and your ok with killing him?

Yes.

Why. what did he do to you?

He was one on the ones who bullied magics when they first came out of hiding.

Oh. well then let's go kill some bully butt.

*time skip to after killing*

That was good. hey del-...Death bee wanna go get ice cream?

no. we are going back to base getting paid and then we can go out for ice cream. But your paying. I can't spare any money. Me and my mom need all we can get.

So that's why you became an assassin. So you could get money. To help your family. That's a good reason. I do it just to let off steam. My father was abusive as a child and now he is such a workaholic that i've pretty much raised myself.

To bad so sad i didn't ask for your life story.

*time skip to base*

After we get out of uniform i put my clothes into a backpack that i leave at base with an extra pair of clothes in it. I get dressed into those extra clothes and i put my assassin things back in my box. I walk out and see vincent waiting for me. I walked up to grab my money from the receptionist and then vincent and i left. We walked to the ice cream parlor and talked. We got to know each other a bit better though he did most of the talking. He paid for the ice cream and we parted ways.

I got home and went straight to bed.
