I could not believe him right now! First he had to stop her from killing herself which would have made our job quite easier. But he HAD to bring her back to his house. So here she was sitting in Vincent's house on vincent's couch.

Athens what were you thinking!

What could have happened that would make you even THINK to do that.

I-it was Gene. he was murdered.

All of a sudden vincent had this guilty look on his face. I know ath i know.

I didn't see you at the funeral?

Vincent looked at me as if to ask if he could tell her. I shot him a death glare

This girl here, delphie she works with me.

I looked at my watch. Ten thirty AM. guys i got to go my mom's gonna be home soon and i have made her breakfast!! I ran into vincent's bathroom and changed into my sweatshirt and jeans. Ok guys we'll finish this discussion later. How about tomorrow at my place?

I'm not your boss! I walked out of vincent's house and ran right into my mom.

Del? What are you doing out?

I was just talking to a friend about a project.

Just then the girl walked out of the house and yelled to vincent.

I got to go tell my dad that I'll be staying with you for a few da... she stopped short when she saw me and my mom.

Athens what's wrong! yelled vincent when she didn't finish her sentence.

Oh hello, Mrs. Bee how was your day? Would you like to come sit down and rest before you finish your way home?

My mother's voice was shaky y-yes dear that would be wonderful thank you.

Mom? Are you ok?

Athens was still standing there just staring at my mom.

M-my dad has a picture of you in his office. Athens blurted out.

I'm not surprised at all.

I was now confused. Mom?

Let's go sit down.

Once we were all inside vincent, Athens, and I sat on the floor around my mother waiting for an explanation.
