Chapter 7

As lunch went on, the tension was still high in the air.

Sadly, you were smashed between this immense air that caused the whole table to stay quiet.

Katara looked at you as she saw you had nothing in front of you. She raised a brow as she spoke, "Hey, (Y/n). Aren't you going to go inside & grab a meal from the cafeteria?"

You looked at her as you begin to nervously sweat. You can't just up & tell her that you don't have any resources to pay or make lunch. Your parents ignore you, you work part-time at a cafe, & you're saving every penny you make their, just so you can move out from that hell hole you called home.

You smiled as you shook your head, "No, I'm not hungry."

She blinked as Aang looked at you, "What do you mean? You probably haven't eaten anything since breakfast. Do you want me to come with you to the cafeteria?"

You shook your head as Zuko cleared his throat, "She doesn't want an egghead to take her there. Come on, (y/n), I'll take you to instead."

Aang glared at him as Sokka spoke up, "Guys, guys. She probably doesn't want either of you to take her. (Y/n), let me take you instead."

He smiled as he pales a bit. He could feel the glares both Aang & Zuko have given him.

You smiled as you shook your head, "Thank you, you guys. That's really sweet of you, but I really am not hungry."

Everyone looked at you, except Toph, as they pout. Toph spoke up, "She's lying. She's definitely hungry."

You flinched as you blushed lightly, "I-I'm not lying, Toph. I'm really not hungry."

Your stomach growled as you blushed a deeper shade of red. You grew embarrassed as you stood up & began to laugh, "Oh, silly me. I'm going to go to the restroom."

You walked away as you could feel their eyes on your back.

As you walked off, you didn't notice Azulas eyes on you, a dark smirk spreading across her face.

What the heck. Stupid stomach. You're filled with fat, eat that & shut up!

You sighed as you walked to an area of the school where no one was.

Finally, alone at last.

You leaned against the cold brick wall as you take in a breath.

You can't ever let anyone know about your life outside of the school. If you did, you'll probably never hear the end of it from your parents or your classmates.

It's best if it stayed a secret - hidden from the world.

You stared up at the clouded sky as you soon heard someone speak out to you, footsteps coming near.

You looked towards the sound as your eyes widen slightly. You looked away as you tried to play it cool.

Three boys were walking your way, the most popular boys of the school. All the girls were wooed by them & wanted them to be their girlfriend.

Jet was the leader of this group, a real troublemaking rebel.

You were the only girl who didn't swoon over them, because they weren't your type.

"Hey there. Whatcha doing out here all by yourself?"

You looked up as you saw Jet standing right in front of you.

This isn't good.

You cleared your throat as you smiled, "Oh, nothing. Just went off for some air. I'll be heading back now."

You turned to leave, but he slammed his hands on the wall, blocking you from even leaving.

"What? Leaving so soon, kitten? Come on, we just want to..."

He gently touches your hair with one hand, the other slowly wrapping around your waist. He smirked as he softly spoke, "play~"

You paled as you did the one move you knew you could.

And you did.

You kneed him straight in the junk. He pales as his eyes widen, the breath leaving straight from his lungs.

You took this chance to run. The other two lean down to help them, but he swung his arm as he glared at them, yelling out in a slightly high-pitch voice, "Forget me, get her!!"

They begin to run after you.

Dang it! You hated to run! But these stupid creeps just won't ease up!

You turned a corner as you bumped straight into someone. You fell to the floor, onto your bottom, as you let out a yelp.

You looked up as you saw Zuko. His eyes widen a bit as he held his hands out to you, "Woah. Why in a rush?"

You opened your mouth as you turned & saw the two guys coming close. Your eyes widen as you take his hands. He pulls you up as you hide behind him, squeezing his arm a bit as you pointed at the two guys, "Theyre chasing after me. Them & Jet."

Zuko raised a brow as he furrowed then, glaring at the boys as he put his arm behind you, gently holding you in a protective manner.

The two boys slowed down as they furrowed their brows, "Move it, one eye! We're dealing with her. A certain someone's orders."

He raised his brow as he scoffs, muttering, "Azula."

Azula? Were these boys her lackeys?

Jet finally caught up as he looked at you, then to Zuko. He smirked, "Ah, I've heard that you've fallen for our class swine, Zuko. Didn't know you had a thing for fat pigs."

Him & his boys laughed as you flinched, looking down at your feet as you bit your lower lip. Zuko squeezed your arm gently, giving uou reassurance.

"Hey, Jet. I didn't know you had a thing for reptiles."

Jet stopped laughing as he narrowed his eyes at Zuko, "You want to fight, disgrace?"

Zuko clenched his teeth as he gently pushes you away, "Gladly."

He looked at you as he spoke, "(Y/n), you need to leave. I don't want you to get hurt."

You looked at him as you shook your head, "No, let me stay. I'll help you."

He shook his head as he yelled out, "Go! Now!"

He ran off as his fight for yours & his honor began.

You watched in fear as you saw all three gang up onto Zuko.

Zuko was strong, but there's no way he could keep up with this fight alone.

You ran off to find the others.
