You & the others walked towards a small cafe.

The same cafe you worked at.

You sweat drop as you looked at everyone, you didn't work on weekdays because of school, but you worked all day on weekends to save money for yourself.

You looked at everyone, "Hey, why don't we go somewhere? I heard this cafe isn't even that good haha."

Lies. This cafe was known for its delicious pastries.

Zuko looked at you as he pouts, "Doesn't hurt to try. Come on."

He held the door open for you as you looked at him. The others walked in as Zuko kept his eyes on you, "You coming in? I can't enter if you don't."

He laughs lightly as you smiled softly, looking down at your feet. You prayed the owner didn't say anything.

You weren't embarrassed that you work at this awesome cafe. You just didn't want your friends knowing the fact that you work to make cash on the side for yourself.

Your parents only help you financially with school, your diet, & the roof over your head. Everything else you have to pay for yourself.

And you really wanted to buy some cute outfits, since your parents just buy you old lady clothes, tending to think that's the only size that you can fit. But, this money was extremely important for you future. One where you can live on your own & move away from your parents.

You take in a breath as you walked inside the cafe, thanking Zuko for holding the door for you.

You looked around as you heard your bosses voice, "Oh, (y/n)! Welcome back!"

You flinched as you went over to the cashier area. You smiled at her as you laughed softly, "Hi Toru. How's business today?"

Toru was the owner of the pastry shop "Nothing But Sweet". She was in her early 30s, brown hair that was always in a ponytail, & she had tan skin, but the brightest green eyes.

She smiled as she wiped her hands with the hand towel, "Pretty good. Didn't think you'd be coming into the store with friends haha."

You blushed lightly as you sighed. Your friends looked at the menus together as Katara looked at Toru, "How do you two know each other?"

Toru smiled as she opens her mouth to speak.

"I come here to talk & eat! That's it haha." You blurted out as you laughed nervously, rubbing the back of your head.

Sokka raised a brow as he spoke, "I thought you said you heard bad things about this place."

You sweat drop as Toru looked at you, "Oh, you don't like my food, (y/n)," she leaned closer to you as she whispers in your ear, "Or are you just embarrassed about working here?"

You moved away from her as she had a playful smirk on her face. She's was the only one who knew why you worked so hard for your money. You bowed to her as you apologized, "I'm sorry, Toru."

She smiled as she waved it off, "No worries. I'll just give you guys some pastries, on the house."

Toph smiled, "Alright, free food!"

Katara smiled, "Thank you, but we don't mind paying."

Toru shook her head, "This is my first time actually seeing (y/n) have friends. I wanna make this day special."

You blushed as you looked at her with a pout, "Toru, you make me sound like a loner."

She raised a brow, "Am I wrong?"

You went quiet as you looked away.

She smiled, "Thought not. Anyways, you kids go sit somewhere while I talk to (y/n) real quick, okay."

Everyone said thank you as they left to sit down, leaving you alone with Toru. She looked at you as she smiled softly, "Hey, why won't you tell your friends you just work here? They definitely won't judge you. I, for one, think you're amazing for what you're doing."

You looked at her as you smiled, "I feel like they'll push to know what's going on in my home life. I'm just worried."

She smiled as she began to put some fresh pastries onto a plate, "(y/n), if they respect you, then they wouldn't push you. Just tell them that you work here on weekends."

You bit your lip as you looked at her, "What if word gets out? I can't let my parents know."

Her brows furrowed slightly, "If your parents even step foot in here, I'll make sure they leave."

She hands you the plate of pastries, "I'll get you guys some drinks. Whatever you decide, (y/n). Lies always come out into the light."

She smiled as she winked at you. You smiled a bit as you take in a breath, "I'll try my best, Toru. Thank you."

She smiled as she ruffled your hair, "That's my girl. Have fun, okay?"

You smiled as you nod your head, "I will."

You went over to the table as you set the plate down.

Toph sniffed the air as she grabbed a pastry, "Yum! These smell delicious," she takes a bite as she went silent. She chewed, then swallowed, & said, "This is the most delicious pastry I have ever ate."

Everyone soon grabbed one, except you, as they all began to eat.

Sokka eyes sparkled as he looked at you, "How could you keep this place a hidden gem from us, (y/n)?! We could've been be eating here." he stuffs the pastry in his mouth as Katara ate hers, "They are really delicious, (y/n)."

Aang nods his head, his cheeks already stuffed from the sweet bread.

Zuko looked at you as he ate some, "So, how long have you been working here?"

Everyone went quiet as you looked at him, "How do you know that?"

He smirked as he winked, "It's obvious."

You looked at him as you sighed, sitting down as you begin to eat, "I've been working here since I started highschool."

"Welp, guess we're coming here everyday, then." Sokka spoke out as he finished his pastry.

Katara looked at you as she smiled, "That's actually amazing, (y/n). Do you know how to make these?"

You nod your head, "Yeah. I help her Friday afterschool & on the weekends since those are the days I work."

Zuko & Aang both had a twinkle in their eyes.

Shouldn't have told them the days you worked on.
