"This is it. Months of revision have amounted to this. Good luck, Ash" Joelle smiled, bringing him in for a rib crushing hug as they stood outside the auditorium waiting for the time that they would be allowed to sit down "Wanna go get ice cream after? Maybe mcdonalds? I'll pay" She asked, gently resting her head on his chest, not wanting to get her pale ass foundation on his tshirt.

"Sure, Joey. I'd love that. Good luck to you too, even though I know for a fact that you'll do perfectly without it. You're an A* student - hell, you've practically been my teacher for these past months."

"A hot teacher though? Or a baggy one with wire frame glasses" Joelle asked, stepping back from him with a smile "Thank you, by the way, it means a lot"

"A hot one. You'll walk straight into Oxford and then get expelled for being so gorgeous, so I'll smuggle you back into Australia and let you live with me" Ashton told her with a grin, looking over at the old doors to the auditorium. They were open. Oh god. "Time to go, Joey"

"Come on then, Mercury, what are we waiting for?" She teased, striding ahead of him and telling the adjudicator her name. He told her her seat number and she sat down, writing her name on the front of her paper and waiting. It was only when Ashton came and sat in the seat right next to her she knew that she had this test sealed.

The hour and fourty five minutes dragged on like nothing before - Joelle checked her paper eight times before slowly flicking through it so that if Ashton was in trouble, he could see her test paper easily and steal the right answer. She cared about him too much, damn. He wasn't even going to need this qualification!

"Time's up, do not speak until you leave the room, do not leave your seats until all tests have been collected." The adjudicator's nasally voice could not have been more heavenly in that moment. Tests were collected and they left, waiting until they stepped through the door to grin at each other and hug again.

"Let's go get Mcdonalds, holy shit!" Joelle grinned, walking with him to the exit and pulling his hoodie out of her bag, slipping it over her head.

"I'll pay" Ashton told her with a smile, he wasn't exactly sure he had a lot of money, but he wanted to pay for it.

"Nah, I'll pay. Your mom cooked that great lasagna on monday night, this is like the same thing but mostly plastic. Make sense? No? Yes? Who cares, let's go eat trash food?"

"Sounds good to me" He nodded, walking to her car with her and getting in the passenger seat. "Is that a Brian May bobblehead?" Ashton asked in disbelief, amused by her obvious admiration for the band.

"Of course. The dream is to have all four of them." Joelle told him, beginning to drive with days of our lives playing quietly "Don't know what you expected from me in all honesty. Just like you and the boys are a package deal, me and my boys are a package deal"

"I know, and I wouldn't have it any other way"

"Good, because it will never be any different. They will always be in my top two bands" Joelle told him, pulling out of the school parking lot and towards the nearest McDonalds. "You're a scholar and a drummer... Girls should be scaling my car"

"If that ever happened, I am more than sure you would go to prison for manslaughter, so I'm glad it's not true"

"Mhm. What do you want from McDonalds?" She asked, driving towards the golden gates of heaven shaped like an M.

"Cheeseburger and fries. You sure you don't want me to pay?"

"Very sure. What drink do you want? Do you want a McFlurry?" Joelle asked, pulling up to the drive thru.
