Junhui

"How was China? Your cousins doing well?" My mother asked as she sips her tea.

I nodded, gulping in the last of my eggs. "Not as well as us but still doing well."

"Well if they needed anything they can always contact us." My father said not looking away from his newspaper.

"They think we own a small bookstore on the outskirts of town," I said annoyed.

"And they sell well," he replied jokingly. He then puts his newspaper down and places his elbows on the table. "Are you ready for your first day of school? Are you sure you wouldn't just rather learn the ropes here at home, our business?"

Our business? He had to be fucking joking me. "You're a mafia dad, I want a degree." With that I stand up to leave.

"Wait."

I turn around.

"I'm assigning you a body guard."

I shake my head, "no."

"Junhui don't be stubborn. For 19 years we've let you live the way you wanted. You went to school like any normal kid and made friends whom you grew up with. You fell in love and even got yourself a girlfriend. Like the supportive parents your mother and I are we did not stop you. You even left us to live with my brother for a whole year in China." He was right.

My parents let me be the normal teenager I badly wanted to be. On the outside it seemed like I was. But behind closed doors I was nothing but the son of killers.

"Why do I need a body guard?"

"Junhui you're 19 now," mother says worriedly. "We have a lot of enemies."

You don't say.

"Letting you go off to China with no protection what so ever was a big gamble, but now because you're of age our enemies will think you'll want to be our successor." Mother was looking at me with pleading eyes. "None of our business partners have seen your face but we don't know that for sure. Spy's are spy's for a reason. Anyone anywhere could be our enemy. We don't know who's got information on you."

"So what you're saying is you're afraid I'm going to get assassinated or something because your enemies think I'll be the next leader of the Moon clan and you want to assign me a big buff guy so he can protect me from being killed even though it will just draw attention to me a lot more than trying to be a normal university student who just wants to go to school and get a law degree." I did not try to hide the sarcasm in my voice.

"No, no, she won't draw any attention." My father states.

She?

Father gestures to the two men guarding the door.

They leave the dining room then come back with a girl in tow.

She was dressed in black from head to toe. Black biker boots. Black tight jeans. Black cropped top with a black cropped leather jacket. She pushes her gorgeously long dark hair behind her shoulders as she makes eye contact with me, revealing the red crescent moon on the left side of her jacket. The symbol of the Moon clan. She bows to my parents deeply then turns to me. Her red painted lips curve to a small smirk.

"Junhui this is Choi Sun, your bodyguard." Father says as he makes his way to my side.

"Hi," I say bluntly.

"Pleasure to meet you master," she says flirtatiously.

"The pleasure is all mine," I return her small smirk from before. I then turn to my father, "you don't let your business partners see my face but you let-"
