The tracker I installed into Junhui's phone came in handy after all.
My brother and I followed his car everywhere until he was captured by him. The guy in the camo jacket.
I was about to take action when my brother stops me.
"Let's follow where they go. It'll lead us to real assassin. The boss," he says determinedly.
It was a big gamble. How did we know he would still be alive by the time we got to him?
I let my brother take the lead anyway. He is leader in the youth fighting team after all.
The capturer took Junhui to a brick mansion. The gates were fully open so we didn't hesitate to go in. The bad security tells me this 'boss' is nothing but careless.
We watched as Junhui was taken to the back to the house.
"What's the plan?" I ask my brother who was hardcore staring out to where Junhui disappeared.
He taps the steering wheel and says, "I'm not expecting much of security around here. Even back at the first assassination they only sent two people which means the boss does not have a lot of people working for them. This person is too careless and stupid." He's right. It's almost like the capturer didn't know what they're doing. "They probably look down on the Moon Mafia's too. Now that is a big mistake." He waits a few seconds then finally looks at me.
I tilt my head at him.
"I say we just go for it." His eyes were wild. He's full of adrenaline. He knows for a fact that we were going to win today.
I nod once, a little hesitant though.
A grin takes over his face. He then leans over and opens his glovebox. There were two guns and spare bullets stashed in it. He takes both and made sure they were fully loaded. "You got yours?"
I quickly opened my bag and took mine out.
"Alright, lets do this shit."
We both hop out and quickly ran to the side of the house. We kept our eyes out for guards and cameras and just anything suspicious. There was nothing.
At the back of the house was a small wooden shed.
I could hear Junhui laugh from within it. He's laughing? Have they drugged him?
"Go in," Seungcheol whispers. "I'll keep lookout. But shout my name if you need me."
I take a deep breath, kick the door open then aimed my gun at... this boy... "Don't move!" I walk into the light and untied the Junhui who looked too calm to be in a situation like this.
Once Junhui was free he made me put my gun down.
"What are you doing?!" I shout.
He doesn't answer me and turns to the boy instead. "Can I trust you to be on our side from now on?"
He's got to be joking!
The boy looked almost relieved, "with my life."
It took a lot of convincing but my brother agreed to take the boy to the base.
We patted him down, took everything out of his pockets and made him leave it behind, including his phone.
He was more than happy to do as he was told. He actually looked glad he was no longer under the influence of whoever Junhhui's capturer was. Once that was done we let him get in the car with me beside him, holding the gun against his side.
Junhui sits at the front next to my brother.
We drive out of the mansion and onto the street. We drove about five blocks away before Seungcheol parks to the side of the road. He takes his phone out and dials a number. He puts the phone on speaker as it rings.
"Leader Choi," the voice of the man himself booms.
"Master, we are sorry for being careless but Junhui was captured again. But don't worry it didn't take long before we saved him," my brother rushed his words at the end.
Master Wei sighs on the other end, "you and your sister were supposed to have some family time together. Junhui if you're there, you're grounded. You were told to stay put!"
I doubt Junhui had ever been grounded before. His reaction was priceless, "dad! I won't do it again I promise!"
"I know you won't, because you're grounded," master Wei says sternly. "Was there anything else youth leader?"
"Yes master," Seungcheol said proudly. "We have captured the assassin that got away the day of the first assassination."
"Perfect!" Master Wei chuckles. "Kill him."
The boy beside me shifts uncomfortably.
I suddenly felt bad for him.
"No dad, hear me out," Junhui grabs the phone from Seungcheol's hand. "He is not a bad person. He only did what he did because of his boss. She threatened him. Look, I have a lot to explain to you but can you meet us at the base? I'll explain everything there. I have dirt on Jeon Industries that I have kept from you for a while. You will want to hear it, I promise."
"And why has my own son been keeping this from me?" Master Wei didn't sound angry nor annoyed.
"Because I-" Junhui hesitates. "I was only protecting my friend. But it led to more manipulations and chaos made by Mrs Jeon herself."
Master Wei was quiet on the other line.
"Father?"
"Put a sack over the boy's head. We don't want him knowing where the base is until he's proven his loyalty," master Wei instructs.
"Oh and also," Junhui says hurriedly. "My car is near a pizza place on the opposite block of Hanguke's Performing Art's School..."
Master Wei sighs, "I'll get someone to pick it up." With that he hangs up.
Junhui hands back Seungcheol's phone then turns around and grins at the boy, "it looks like you'll be getting your sick jacket after all, Xu Minghao."
