Junhui
Discrete. That's what Sun wanted our relationship wanted to be. For now, at least. She did not want to draw unnecessary attention to us at the base. Not that that was an option anyway. Every time I entered the place everyone would stop and stare. Even after all this time, they're still not used to me coming to visit.
We exit the elevator and into the youth unit floor with a small gap between us. We go to the other end where Nari, Kitty, Jihoon and Minghao were.
It took me by surprise when I laid my eyes on Minghao. His hair was no longer the eye catching luscious goldilocks. It was now black with a slight mullet at the back. He'd changed a lot since he's joined the clan. Day by day his bubbly and outgoing, personality turned into a mysterious and more laid back one.
I greet everyone and sit beside Jihoon on the couch, sandwiching him between Minghao and I.
Sun sits with her girls on one beanbag just across from us.
"Nice hair bro," I say as I lean back and put my feet up on the coffee table.
"Thanks," Minghao replies cooly.
"Your life has been too quiet lately class prez," Jihoon says. "My job has been too boring lately. Your father pretty much owns most of the biggest company's in South Korea now. And some other ones overseas. Seems like the CEO's are starting to be decent people for once. I can't find any illegal files or anything."
"What about Jeon Industries?" I asked. "Is he not going to take action with the information I gave him?"
He shakes his head, "they're going bankrupt. Their business partner JYP Entertainment isn't doing so well either. It looks like there's going to be a divorce soon."
My heart was pounding in my chest. Wonwoo and Jungyeon? Divorce?
"Junhui, ever since you've come back, Jungyeon brings you up all the time in our conversations. There's not been one time when Jia and I would visit their house and you weren't mentioned," Minghao says. "The stars are aligning for you, young master. It looks like Jungyeon is your true love after all. It's fate." He never really called me master unless he was joking around with me.
"First love's are called first love for a reason Ming," I chuckle.
"Interesting," I couldn't see his face but I knew he was smiling. "You've moved on then?"
I didn't answer. Jungyeon will always have a place in my heart. She's made me feel all the emotions existed. She was perfect to me. She was the love that I met at the wrong time.
"You guys were cute while it lasted," Jihoon admits. "All the girls at school were so jealous."
"How would you know? You hardly showed up to class, punk!" I poke his forehead, hard.
He glares at me and says, "you know why!"
"Young master!"
My head snaps towards the girls on the beanbag.
Kitty was waving me over.
I stand up and sit on the couch behind them.
Kitty and Nari get off the beanbag and sit on either side of me.
Sun stays in her seat and continues to scroll through her phone.
"So the ball is coming up soon and we want your thoughts on something," Kitty puts a forearm on my knee and holds out her phone so I could see. Her thumb scrolls down slowly on a dress website.
"Ball?" I tilt my head.
"Your parents have never invited you?" Nari says as she watches Kitty's phone too.
