Junhui
Mrs Jeon hurriedly walks over to Wonwoo.
I subtly put my hand on my head and start patting as fast as I can. "Put your heads down!" I whisper shouted to the group handcuffed together. "Do it now!"
They did as told with no questions asked.
Bang!
Just in time, the signal was seen and the glass wall behind us shattered into a billion pieces.
Bullets started to get fired into the house.
"Everyone get down! Now!" I shout at the top of my lungs.
Sun hides behind the white couch and Mrs Jeon just starts running for her dear life along with her body guards.
I look up at Wonwoo who had not moved an inch. "Jeon Wonwoo! You dickhead get down!" I try to crawl over, forgetting I was still cuffed to Jisoo hyung who was clutching his head. "Ah fuck! Jeon Wonwoo! Buddy! Hey!" I pleaded for his attention.
The gun was still against his temple. He turns around slowly and looks down at me with a weak smile.
I bring up my hand, "take my hand! Get down here with me it will be safer!"
He shakes his head, still smiling. "My life is not worth anything anymore, Junhui. I'm broken and I can't be fixed. I have gone through too much to continue a life that was built on sadness and fear."
"Don't talk like that! You're not broken! Your mother made you feel sad and made you fear her! But after this you can turn your whole life around! Without her controlling you! You can start a new life!" I tried to smile as best as I could through the chaos, "Wonwoo, my best friend!" My hand was still trying to reach him, "come here..."
He shakes his head slowly.
"Jeon Wonwoo!" I was crying now. "You fucking selfish prick! Get your fucking ass down here now! You think you're the only one with a fucked up life?! Everyone in this room is going through something too!" I was so angry I couldn't stop myself. "You think everything will be better when you're gone?! No! It fucking won't! It will just add to the depression we're all feeling inside!"
His smile fades as he puts his gun down.
"We can all heal together..." I say softly. "Wonwoo..." My hand was shaking but I refused to put it down.
He takes a step towards me and takes it.
I smile in relief and pull him down to the ground where we clutched our heads and waited for the gunshots to stop.

When the police finally find us they called for an ambulance straight away. They tried to ask each of us what happened but everyone apart from Wonwoo and I were too weak and malnourished to even utter a word, let alone explain what had just happened. They were taken to the hospital whilst Wonwoo and I were taken to the police station.
Despite the officer's concerns towards the bruises on my face and the cut on my lip I pleaded to go. I didn't want Wonwoo to face all of this by himself.
He can't be left alone. Not now.
"So," the officer sits at his table in front of us. "Let me hear it, what happened?"
And so Wonwoo told him everything. From start to finish.
The officer nodded as he jotted down notes. Every so often he would look up at Wonwoo with sadness in his eyes.
Wonwoo confessed about all the crimes his mother has done in the past. Either through business or physical and mental abuse. He finished off by telling the officer what happened in his own home. About the gunned men and his mother Hong Jia. The only thing he lied about was the shattered wall. "Mother was having a fit so she started shooting at everything, even the glass wall and then she left in anger with her men."
The officer put his pen down and looked into Wonwoo's eyes, "I see."
At first I couldn't figure out why Wonwoo had lied right at the very end but then it clicked.
His mother must have told him everything she knew about the Moon Mafia's.
"It sounds as if your mother is mentally ill," the officer says.
Wonwoo nods, "she started to act crazy when father died. I mean, even before that she was still a little bit off but not to the point where she would shoot a helpless girl." Wonwoo looked ashamed. "Through time I've grown to realise that I hated my mother."
I put a hand on his back and patted it slowly.
The officer was very understanding. He let Wonwoo take time to himself before continuing. "And you," he looks at me. "What is your side of the story?"
I had to think quickly so I just said the first thing that came to my head, "my girlfriend hadn't called me for about three days and I started to get worried. The last time I spoke to her she told me she would be having a sleepover at Jungyeon's house, just like the other kids there." Don't act too suspicious now Junhui, one wrong word and you're caught. "So I go to see if she was there." I paused for a bit then continued, "there were men with guns outside the house, guarding it," this part was true. "I was taken in and handcuffed like the rest of them, but not before I got beaten though." I point at my face.
The officer was buying it. He started typing on his computer then stops and looks at Wonwoo, "your house is officially a crime scene, do you have anywhere to stay while we investigate?"
"You can stay with me," I say assuringly, before Wonwoo could speak.
Wonwoo smiles, "thanks bud." Out of all the years I had been friends with him, he had not met my parents. He's never been in my house. And he sure as hell will not be getting out for free if I take him in.
I felt bad but what else could I have done?
Jeonghan was too sick to be able to take care of anyone else but himself.
Just then the telephone on the officer's desk started to ring. He picks it up immediately and listens. "Okay, I'll let him know." He hang's up and intertwines his fingers together on the table. He avoided eye contact with both of us at first but then inhaled and spoke, "Wonwoo they've found your mother."
"Okay," Wonwoo could not care less.
"As soon as the investigators finished taping up your living room and around the front of your house, they went to the back and found multiple bodies floating on your pool. One of them being your mother," the officer tried to deliver the message seriously but you couldn't miss the sadness in his voice. "She wasn't drowned though. There was a bullet shot through her forehead and into her skull. I'm sorry Wonwoo, your mother is dead."
