The Only Chance

"(Y/N)!!! Come to the kitchen now, I told you to be ready before I wake up so we can head straight to the training yards!!! David and Melissa would probably be there by now so hurry up!!!"

Your dad always yells at you for not being ready. You grumble and roll over and pull your sheets up above your head. Your dad and David have known each other for years and they used to train together all the time, then David met Melissa at one of the rebellions meetings. They all started training together and they all got along really well. David and Melissa soon got together but still loved to train with your dad every morning.... your dad then met your mom at one of those meetings and.... you don't really talk about your mom ever since the "accident".

You, literally, roll out off your bed and ended up cocooning yourself in the blankets. You just lay there thinking.... the floor is comfier than you originally thought, hmmm funny. Your dad barges through the door and almost cracks your skull open with his combat boots but at that very moment in time, you didn't care too much.

"Why the fuck are you on the floor? Wrapped in your blankets?" He asks you as he looks down at you squirming around.

"Well you see, I tried to get out of bed like you told and I just kinda... rolled out?" You manage to tells him.

A wide grin appears on him and he starts laughing at you while you struggle to get yourself free from the blanket prison you built yourself. When you eventually get out he calms down and tells you to get ready. You drag yourself to your cupboard and change into your normal training wear. Black singlet, camo shorts and combat boots, it's easier to run around in for you at least.

When you and your dad get there David and Melissa are there but they don't seem as happy as they normally are.

"Hey Dav, what's up?" You asked him as you and your dad came up to them.

"John, (Y/N) I'm glad you two came as soon as you could. We need to get to the base, we might actually have a chance!" David tells you two as he and Melissa start to drag you two towards the base, still trying to look normal to the demons walking past us with the same glares as usual.

Now, this is where I should explain what's going on! In the year 2116 demons started possessing big name people like actors, actresses, musicians and even some YouTubers. A group of them then opened up a rift that let other demons come up, they then started demanding stuff from humans which then after a year of negotiating they attacked the humans. A war broke out. The demons won and human are still fighting for their rights but the ones that get caught are put through the most torturous pain imaginable. So the fighters hide and pretend to follow the laws demons have placed for the human race. You were born in 2126 and you are 21 years old and so far you've been able to avoid most punishments given by demons.

As you four got to the base, which was hidden underneath an abandoned hotel so we could hold injured people if needed, which we did, there were a lot of people running around.

"Come on, Willow's waiting in her office" David spoke as he started to walk of to the captains office.

She made all the decisions, who went on what mission and how long we wait until we send a search party, y'know, all the important stuff. When you got to the office you saw the brunette through the window, her long wavy hair sitting down her shoulders as her gorgeous green eyes skimmed over whatever she was reading. Now let's get this out of the way, your into dudes but damn everyone likes Willow but some of the girls, including you, just find her extremely attractive.... you may or may not have questioned your sexuality a couple times because of her.....

"Ah mister (L/N), miss (L/N) I'm glad you could join me" she told us as she dismissed David and Melissa.

"It's good to see you too Willow. We were told we might have a chance but... why did you bring us here?" Your dad asks the woman in front of you.

"Yes... well there is a way we could get to him but... we would need (Y/N) to-"

"No!" your father interrupts her standing up in the process, sending the chair flying into the wall behind you two.

"What, no, dad we have to take this chance! It may be the only chance we get to get into that castle and end this!" You yell standing up with just as much force as he did.

"I will NOT allow my only child to go to her death do you hear me Willow! You should know I would never send (Y/N) if you have me the-"

"WE DON'T HAVE A CHOICE RIGHT NOW JOHN!" She screams, shutting your father up.

"You know damn well I wouldn't ask such thing if I didn't have a choice" Willow tells your father as she slumps back in her chair, putting her face in her hands.

You and your father exchange a look of sympathy and he pulls his chair up from the floor and sits down.

"What do you need me to do?" You ask before your dad can say anything else.

"We were told that one of the maids has recently gone missing and they need a replacement. No one has gone in yet requesting the job so we will need (Y/N) to go in. She's one of our best so I know she'll be ok to do the job but I wanted to tell you as well John. I know how much she means to you but I just want you to know I wouldn't send (Y/N) if I had more time.... please understand my situation" Willow tells you as she sits up a bit straighter in her seat.

"I'll do it. If I can get into that castle I'll do it without hesitation" you say looking into Willow's luscious green eyes.

"And dad," you turn to face him and take his hands in yours, " I'll be just fine ok? I'll be in there for as long as I need to stay there for and come back with Dark, Anti and Die dead ok dad?" You finally gain the courage to drag your eyes up to meet his.

He's.... he's crying? You haven't seen him cry since mom passed. You instantly pull him into a hug and his arms are instantly around you. You haven't really been the type for saying sappy shit to your family members but.... now would be a good time to start.

"I love you dad. I always will even if I'm not around, I'll still be thinking of you ok" you whisper as tears start running down your face.

He tells you how much he loves you and how much he'll miss you. You two stay in each other arms for what felt like years but it was probably 10 to 15 minutes. After you two separate from each other's arms Willow says you'll have to go today in case someone else tries to get the position first. You and your dad say your final goodbyes and then you are sent to get changed into more appropriate clothing. You change into a white long sleeve button up shirt, a light blue skirt and black heels. You are so thankful your mom taught you how to walk and run in heels. You tie your long, wavy (H/C) hair into a ponytail and then head out into the car waiting outside for you.

Off to The Great Castle to become Darkiplier's maid.... fun.
