Chapter Ten: An End To You and your human friends

Ashley's POV

I woke up to someone banging on my door, and on top of it all, I had a nightmare.

*Rapping*

"I'm coming!" I said loudly.

I walked out of my room in a tired state. The person did not stop rapping.

"I'm... Who is it?"

"It's Balthazar."

I quickly opened the door, "Balthazar."

"Yeah, I need to get you out of here," he said hugging me.

"He's coming for you," He said vaguely.

"Who?"

"The person I thought I could have run away from, but, I should have known that he'd be listening and watching me continuously like some puppy running in the same pace back and forth."

"Balthazar, you're still not making any sense."

"We'll talk about it on the way out,"

"Out where?"

"Out of here! Ashley, we're not safe. He will come for us, for you. And he'll bring about the Apocalypse." Balthazar said in a terrified tone.

"I have to keep you safe."

*Ring* *Ring*

"I have to answer that."

"No," he said, grabbing my wrist but not tightly. "It may be Lucifer's henchmen."

"Or it can just be a normal man, like delivery man calling." I explained.

"I just want to protect you, Ashley." I looked at his arm and I saw a tattoo, but I pretended like I didn't see anything and I said, "I know, but, let me do this, Balthazar."

"Okay."

He released me, and I walked and answered the phone.

"Hello," I said calmly.

"Ashley, I'm sorry that I'm calling you at such short notice." Balthazar said.

"Edward?"

"No, Ashley. This is Balthazar."

"Oh, Edward, I'm glad it's you! I'm so glad it's you."

"Ashley."

"I miss you, Edward. Ah!"

"Ashley!"

Balthazar's POV

I teleported into her apartment but when I did she was already gone.

"No!" I yelled.

My heartbeat raised again and again, over and over.

"Ashley, no." I turned around and I saw a note on the floor that reads, "Get her, Balthazar. If you desire to end this completely." I felt a surge of anger pumping through my veins.

I teleported back into the precinct.

"Where were you?" Sasha said.

"He took Ashley." I replied.

"Who did?" Ashton asked.

"The demon. He wants to draw me out."

"How do you know?" Ashton asked.

"He left this note for me. And don't check for fingerprints, he transformed into me."

"You've got to be kidding me," Ashton said.
