Chapter Twelve: Many Apologies For My Mistakes

Balthazar's POV

We drove in our vehicles for several minutes before, we reached my home. Atleast, on the bright side, I got to elaborate more about the snake of corruption tattoo.

"So, a snake that is invisible to us but visible to you can corrupt people?" Halle said getting out of the car.

"Yeah, but, it doesn't corrupt you, actually, we corrupt ourselves. Once we already eat from the forbidden fruit, there is no going back. If you have the darkness within you, you're pretty much..."

"Hell's puppet," Ashton said perspicaciously.

"Yeah, exactly."

"Looks like your friends are here," Antionus said sarcastically before I turned around.

"Nice to see you too, Antionus." Castiel said sarcastically.

"It wasn't a greeting," Antionus said firmly.

"Antionus, I shove this thing so far up your...." before Sathe could finished his statement I stopped him.

"OK! Stop it, Sathe." I said firmly.

"Cuse me for a moment," I said to my friends.

"I guess things can't get more weirder than this," Ashton said.

"Yeah," Sasha and Halle synchronized.

"So, you came to apologize I would assume?"

"Yes, atleast I did. On behalf of myself, I'm sorry for attacking you," Castiel said sincerely.

"It wasn't you, or any of you," I said.

"It was us. Our impulsive side, our dark side. Without you and your friends, and I mean it sincerely, you saved us and they saved you without any supernatural powers. They risk their mortality to do so." Kathleen said warmly.

"It doesn't make sense now, because me he doesn't need more innocent lives to completely manifest himself. I gave him enough juice to walk the earth again." I said sadly.

"But you will stop him," Sathe said.

"I hope so. Because I'm the only one who can."

"Not anymore," Kathleen hinted subtly.

I looked around and saw my friends behind me.

"That demon was right about something, that they're destructive but, what we witnessed today is that, they will protect their own. They are not your weakness, they are your strength." Kathleen said.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome. Oh, and Jonathan, those were some nice moves you showed us out there."

"Yeah, Azarel trained me," Jonathan replied.

"And she's a good teacher," Castiel said.

"Anyways, we have to go. But, do not forget what we said." Kathleen said.

"I won't." They disappeared right in front of my eyes.

"So, angelic relatives and demonic henchman who works for the "God of Hell", did I get this right?" Ashton asked amusingly.

"Yes, you do." I chuckled.

"So what are you going to do?" Sasha asked curiously.

"I'm going to help you solve some crimes that can't be solved. Put away the bad guys."

"I mean, about the demon."

"I'm going to stop him, permanently."

"Well, we have your back," Sasha retorted.

"Indeed, we do, buddy." Antionus said.

"Thanks," I replied politely.

[4 hour skip]

After a fascinatingly dangerous day, Aunt Azarel visited.

"Good night," she said.

"Good night," I replied. I paused and I added, "I'm sorry about chasing you away."

"It's okay, I lied to you." She said politely.

"But, I shouldn't have chased you away when you simply wanted to help me."

"That's understandable, Balthazar." She agreed.

"I know that this is not a normal visit."

"Correct."

"He's here, right?"

"Yeah."

"Well, that's me. Every time I try to do something right, I do something horribly wrong,"

"It's not your fault,"

"That's what everyone says. And of course I apologize. I've made many, many apologies for my mistakes, but, they can't change what I've done."

"It was only way. You know he would have continued on killing people until he rises."

"But, now, he doesn't," I added, "he has a body. And he's coming for me. Alistair is coming for all of us."

Alistair's POV

My body quickly started to form, brain, spinal cord, heart, the other grew layer after layer, until I was whole.

"Heh! Agh!" I said happily.

"I can breathe again," I added.

"I am alive!" I laughed menacingly.

"I'm coming after you, Balthazar."
