As class starts Jake walkes in. Hes been my best bro since 6th grade sooo maybe the past 5 years?

He stops to smile at me but its gone as fast as it came once he saw me next to Ashton.

If looks could kill Ashton wouldn't be here. Jake looked at me for answers with his soft brown eyes full of worry. I mouthed text me.

With a nod of his head he gave his slip to the teacher and sat next to Michael.

Before I could take out my phone it starts going off like crazy.

Ashton taps on my shoulder.

"What?"  I ask ready to throw hands.

"Can we be friends?" He askes with puppy eyes.

"No."

"What why?"

"Cause I don't feel like it and two you dont know me."

"Untrue."

"Sure."

"I mean you friends with Jake right?"

"Exactly why we cant be friends."

"What happened between us shouldnt effect our friendship right?"

"We were never friends before right? I doubt you even know my name."

...

He looks away defeated.

Ha. Maybe next time.

....

As class ends Jake walks me to my locker so we can meet up with Maddie.

"I don't trust him." Jake states.

"I know."

Maddie shows up and we explain what happened.

"That's cool."

Jake and I glare at her.

She smiles and skips away.

"Nothing is gunna happen Gabe I promise."

He smiles and walks to his next class.

Its my free period so I might as well go check on my brother.

I walk to the library to find Zander Sitting at a table.

"Hey Z-man!"

"Hey Ella."

"Tell your buddy I dont wanna be his friend."

"Who?"

I sit down next to him. And put my favorite book on the table and my hood up covering my long brown and red waves.

"Ashton."

He chuckles a bit and nods."How is he in your advanced class?"

"No clue but its stupid."

"Is Jay okay?" Jay is our nickname for Jake cause he didnt like anything else we came up with.

"No clue hes not happy though that's for sure."

Zander smiled and stares back down at his history book."No clue huh?"

"Oh shit I have detention after school." I remind myself. Then my eyes go wide.

This is because my brother is the biggest mom on earth and when I do one little thing wrong I get lectured for thirty minutes on how reckless I am.

As on cue his head snaps up and he's about to ask why before I open my mouth and cut him off.

"I said mr. Homo hobo reminded me of that guy from mulan."

He starts laughing. "Are you serious? Fine I'll let you go this time cause you're not wrong. Just dont do it again."

"No I'm karissa and okaayyy."

He rolls his eyes and we sit in comfortable silence the rest of the period.

...

Lunch is easily my favorite.

I sit at a table with Jake Maddie Noah and Zander.

We are catching up and laughing at stupid things.

Then all of a sudden someone sits down and a small crowd starts forming around my table.

I look up to find a pair of grey eyes staring at me with amusement.

Really?

Fml.

Jake stands up and walks out and Maddie tells me to stay as she chases after him.

Emma takes h
Maddie's seat as soon as she can seat.

"That's taken." I glare.

"Yea by me." she smiles I roll my eyes take my water bottle and before I know it im staring at a drenched and not to mention emma.

I start laughing as Emma storms out.

"Oops."

Ashton smiles at me and I can't help but smile back.

The crowd has thinned because they followed emma. The rest of them though.

"Leave or ill do the same to you." I threatened.

Then there were none.

Maddie and Jay come running in and sit at the table Gabe acting as of nothing happened.

"We just saw Emma was that you?" Maddison asks.

"You know it." I smile

And jake gives me a high five. As maddie starts laughing her head off.

"You missed her the first second." Zander complains. I look over yo see his usually fluffy hair stuck to the side of his face.

The rest of the day goes by and I haven't seen Ashton or zander the rest of the day.

Zander was my ride but his truck is missing. I'm not walking 3 miles.

I look for jake and maddie but I have no luck.

I spot my neighbor getting in his car and I run up to him.

"Zac!" I tackle him in a hug.

"Hey girly what's up?"

"I could use a ride."

"Okay sure." he smiled opening his passanger door for me and i hop in.

"So how was the first day?" He says getting into his front seat.

"Good."

He rolls his eyes." So vague. How are your sibling"

"Uhh zander is fine. Julie scarlet and violet are ok and Leo Jason and oliver are good too."

"Has anyone asked if you and zander were twins"

"This one girl who was obviously crushing on him did. "

"And you said?"

"No I'm his grandma that was born a minute before him on the same damn day. "

He pulled up to his house and we got out. "See ya later miss detention." And he walked inside as I stared at him.

Shit I forgot.

That's why zander ditched me.

Well im screwed when I walk inside.

And screwed I was.
