Bringing Val to school was difficult. She was scared he would be outside waiting. But I told her I was there to protect her and mommy and she finally agreed.

I threw her in some jeans and a pink long sleeve top. Her hair was messy but she's five no one cares.

Once out the door o felt het grip tighten.

"Valerie I'm right here." She nods her head and we get to the car.

Once at school I have Val on my back and I start walking up to Zander. He's wearing a hat which is weird cause he says it hides his cloud of amazingness or something.

He sees Val and runs up to me.

"Its little Valerie!" He screams which makes Val smile.

" Uncle Z!" She slides down my back and jumps into his arms.

I feel loved thanks Val.

Zander laughs and talks with Val. While they are busy I start to hear arguing.

"Noooooo!" I hear.

"Eleanor Marie King get your fat ass through that door right now."

"But Maddieee I'm to tired." The girl replies.

Maddie? Maddison? Isn't that glasses' friend?

Wait a minute. Ohhh. This makes sense now.

"Ella please I'm short and your tall this is difficult."

"Good." She laughs. She then starts coughing. "Ew. My hair is in my mouth."

Haha. This girl needs help.

"Hey zander?"

"Yea?" He questions.

"Imma go help Maddison with Ella."

"No! I mean she'll come around." What's up with him is he jealous?

"Hey man I'm just gunna go help someone out, whatch Val for a sec."

He rolls his eyes and starts making jokes for Valerie.

"Hey." I start.

"Ahhh" Maddison screams in suprise. Oops She ends up dropping ella.

"Ouch."

"Need help getting her inside?"

"Yes." She says eyes still wide.

"No. Ill go inside I told you I don't really want to be friends with you."
Ella says.

Damn that's a acquaintance zone.

All they do is smile as Madd6 is dragged away.

Well I tried.

Then I hear a yelp. It sounded like Zander.

I run over and find a hand print on his face.

"Damn man what the fuck did you say to her?"

"Nothing really I just offered to help."

"Right well she came up to me slapped me and told me to keep my annoying buddy in check."

I start laughing.

"Ashy stop that's mean.You okay uncle Z?"

"A okay Val." And with that school begins.

In math glasses ignored me. She glared at me every time I started talking. I'm glad Val was with zander the first to periods.

Glasses even left the class when Emma started rubbing herself on me. Imma need to take 400 showers just to get the makeup off. The another 200 for her smell.

Then I found out why zander was wearing a hat but he didn't tell me how a chunk of his hair fell out.

I told him he was balding and a face of pure terror crossed his face. Val even laughed at that.

When lunch came around I sat with zander and his buddies and then my buddies came over too so it was a bit crowded and Val started talking to glasses and Maddison. The boys were friends with everyone real quick. And jake wasnt here today.

Max even started calling karissa Kitten and she's fine with it.

"What's wrong Ashy?" Glasses asks me.

Its the first time she's said anything today but that name makes me choke on my pizza.

"Vallerie I swear."

"Sorry Ashy."

I can't stay mad it this girl. Either of them honestly.

" Nothing glasses. Just confused."

"Sam Smith is confused." She smiles. Then pauses."Sorry about math."

"Aww bestie what did you do to Mr. Pikachu." Max chirps.

"Litteratly Nothing." She says.

I roll my eyes.

"Hey Eleanor?" Val asks

"Hey hey we are friends call me ella and what's up?" She smiles

"I think Ashy likes you. And 2 can you come watch Disney movies with me after school please?"

"Uh."

"Sure. And no I don't Valerie." I smile as glasses looks at me blankly.

"Yay!" Val squeals.

Glasses smiles at Val then looks at me with a this isn't gunna happen face.

"Hey zander?" She asks him.

"Wassup fam." He smiles

"Stop being weird." She glares and his smile grows." Nevermind can anyone but Luke Max and Zander whatch this little angel for me?"

"Yea why not?" Noah speaks up.

"Ill help too." Maddison says.

"Thanks." She says. And then I feel her warm soft hand grab mine and drag me out of the lunch room.

"Damn glasses if you wanted to be alone with me for a bit all you had to do was ask."

She scoffs and turns around. " Look your gunna have to tell Val I can't. I have siblings at home and my parents are gunna forget one because they are that busy."

"Why cant you tell her?" I question.

"Because I can't say no to that face one. And two your the one who answered for me."

"Welp boo I cant tell my sister no either."

"Why dont you and her spend time with your parents. I'm sure they wont want me there."

I think about the other night. The whole thing with Val. She doesn't get it."Yea ill tell her.. sorry I spoke up."

She smiles lightly "The Ashton Cortez apologizing? Wow never thought I'd see the day!"

"Shut up."

She rolls her eyes and starts walking away with a small smile.

"I have a question."

" And that is?"

" Are we friends."

" More like acquaintances"

"That'll do. For now at least."

She shakes her head and heads back to the boys.

She is one weird girl. But I cant help but feel something when she looks at me.

I look at my hand. She held it the whole conversation. And it feels cold now that shes not here.

What is wrong with me?
