Chapter 7

Several months passed, Team RWWJ had now just successfully saved Vale from an attack committed by the White Fang, Roman Torchwick, and a mute girl named Neo. Ruby had walked away smiling at the Blood Shed... Roman Torchwick lay on the ground, decapitated and covered in rose petals. Cinder, Mercury, and Emerald stood on the roof of a building looking over the aftermath.

"Well that was a big nothing, Mr. Hat Trick got himself killed and this all amounted to nothing." Mercury said. "Without Roman do you think the White Fang will listen to us?" Emerald asked. "No But they'll listen to me." Said a girl with cat ears wearing a custom grim mask. "Hello Blake Belladonna." Said Cinder.

"Now without delay, the Vital Festival Tournament will begin at last." Said Dr. Oobleck. "And what a spectacular line up we have today." Said Professor Port. "Yes. Yes. The tournament is divided into 3 rounds; Teams, Doubles, and Singles. The remaining 8 singles will then compete for victory." Explained Oobleck.

"Ruby?" Weiss asked looking around for her team leader. Weiss looked around unable to find her. She ran through the coliseum looking for her. Eventually she found her watching the TV screen. "Ruby?" Weiss asked.

"And the victory goes to Team CMEN (Carmen) (Cinder Fall, Mercury Black, Emerald Sustrai, Night Valentine/Neopolitan). From Haven." Said Dr. Oobleck.

"It's Them!" Weiss said. "They're pathetic." Stated Ruby. Weiss turned to Ruby. "Although, Cinder Fall." She does interest me." Ruby said remembering the name echoing in her head. "You want to fight her?" Weiss asked. "More than anything." Ruby said smirking. "Don't!" Weiss yelled to her. "Why not?" Ruby asked. "Ruby... Have you ever heard of the Four Maidens?" Weiss asked. "Wh-why?" Ruby asked. "What if I told you they were real, and Cinder is one of them." Weiss explained. "Then... She's the other half." Ruby said. "Ruby, I'm going to Professor Ozpin about this." Weiss said. Ruby quickly responded by pinning Weiss to the wall. "Listen Weiss, Ozpin doesn't need to know at all. I'm going to fight her, I will become a complete maiden, and I will prove my worth. Now why would you stand in the way of that?" Ruby asked. Weiss burst into tears. "Because I don't want to see you get hurt you idiot?" Weiss said crying. Ruby was taken aback. She stared at Weiss. "You... Care about me?" Ruby asked. "Ruby... I... I..." Weiss tried to get out. "Love you..." she finished. "You barely know me." Ruby said. "I know all about you, your favorite coffee is cream with five sugars, you are obsessed with weapons, you used to be afraid of Santa Claus, and your birthday is Halloween." Weiss said. "How do you know all this?" Ruby asked. "I'm from a parallel world." Weiss explained. "Multiverse theory? Prove it." Ruby said her curiosity rising. "Your mother's name is Summer Rose you've worn her symbol since her death." Weiss said, Ruby shed a tear. "I don't want to see you get hurt, you shouldn't fight Cinder, and I DO CARE ABOUT Y..." Weiss was quickly interrupted when Ruby locked lips with her. Their tears fell down their faces together, mixing before they dropped to the ground. Their blushes warmed up their faces and they kept their eyes closed. Winter and Juane walked out from around the corner to see the pair kissing. "Oh man, If Dad were here, I don't know if he'd D'aww or N'awww." Winter said. "N'awww" Juane said. "I have my answer." Winter said.
