I don't know if Bells felt that...tinge in the air, so I didn't bother bringing it up. Besides, I was not a wuss, never was and never will be. It was the first time I've noticed this odd air when I came this way, so strange. "How's your mum doing?" Bells chirped.

I smiled, almost grateful for the distraction from my ridiculous line of thought. I cleared my throat before saying, "yeah, she's good. Maybe tiring herself a bit too much from work but she's always been the same ol' workaholic."

Bells pulled out the bobble from her hair, this caused her soft strands to come down onto her face. I laughed as she tried to fix it. Don't get me wrong, it looked awesome, I just laughed at the face that Bells made when she done it. "What?" she asked innocently.

I faced down and didn't say anything.

Bells looked puzzled and tugged my arm, telling me to stop. "No, seriously. What?" she repeated curiously.

"It's nothing."

"Then you can tell me, right?" she probbed. She had always been the curious one, whereas I was always the one that couldn't care less. It's safe to say that we were in a way...opposites but in a very similar way.

I rolled my eyes at her and replied, "no, really, it's nothing Bells."

Her lips formed into a pout and she placed her hands on her hips. She kinda looked like an angry kitten. "Tell me," she said trying to sound demanding but it came out more as whine.

I chuckled and put my hands on her's and put them down by her sides. "Ok Fishface. I was laughing at your face," I said with a smirk.

Bells gasped and smacked my shoulder.

"Oww! What was that for?" I asked, faking pain.

"You are so mean. I don't even know why you're my best friend," she said sounding very much like a 7 year old.

I snorted and placed a hand over my chest, you know...where the heart should be before replying, "now that hurt, Bells," I taunted.

"Oh God, Mark," she sighed as she linked our arms once again.

We walked for a couple more minutes and the sky was starting to dim. The trees appeared to be even bigger that I had antisipated, they looked a little more...intimidating but safer at the same time. But it was when I heard a twig snap nearby when I got all defensive. As far as I know, barely anyone goes through this route. Most people didn't even know about it, so you can understand why I got suspicious. I shushed Bells to tell her to shut up and she obeyed. Then she began to observe too.

"There's someone or something ahead of us," she stated.

At this point, we had stopped moving and I swiftly got in front of Bells to reasure her. Through the corner of my eyes, I saw the panick in her features. Her entire body was tense and her breathing had increased. Oh great. I turned to face her and then muttered, "shh, Bells. You're fine, I'm here. It's nothing, probably just some squirrel."

"Ah huh," she spoke through still lips, still not convinced.

I scanned the surroundings once again before starting to walk once more, this time a little more cautious. Suddenly out of nowhere, footsteps were present and somebody bursted through the vegitation. That was extremely unnatural, one minute there were no footsteps and then...BAM! Footsteps followed by a person.

Forgive me if the stranger in front of me made me become dead still. She..she..she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. The air around her outline seemed to adorn her as well as the dirt beneath her feet. She looked around her early or mid twenties, twenty-three was my guess. She was about 5"7 in height with a very delicate, lean and feminine figure. Her creamy with a rosy hue skin almost glowed mystically, her face was the image of feminine perfection. Her eyes were a warm, light shade of brown, in some angles it looked nearly golden and there was definatly a sense of power, love and mystery behind them. It seemed as though they could peak right into your soul. Her cheekbones was structured magnificantly, not too sharp nor blunt and they complimented her sweet, soft lips. All in all, this lady could definatly have any guy on his knees. It was dangerous.

"Hi there, I'm a little lost. Can you tell me where the main road is?" Sweet jeez, her voice was just was beautiful.

While I was standing there shell shocked, Bells frowned slightly at me before turning her attention back to the woman. "Umm, yes of course. You just follow this trail for about 6 minutes and then turn to your right. From there you go straight on until you see the road," she informed.

The stranger nodded, inspecting Bells with her eyes. Then, she smiled almost as if she approved. "Thank you Sweetheart, I'm Anna by the way," she said.

Bells stepped forward, sending Anna a brilliant smile herself. "I'm Isabelle," she replied.

I sucked in a breath when Bells nudged me in the chest roughly. "Oww!" I complained.

I looked to see Anna laughing quietly, "are you two together? What's your name, young man?" she asked.

Me and Bells looked at eachother before bursting out laughing. "Ahh, no. We're not together, just best friends," I clerified.

Anna shoved her hands into her pockets and raised her eyebrows. "Just best friends? You know...friendship always leads onto something more stronger," she said...well more like stated. It was as if she was declaring fate. Ha, who was she to say things like that? What she said was just a stereotype. Me and Bells were always going to be close friends.

Her eyes narrowed at me for a split second, as though she heard my thoughts. Then, in crystal clear voice she said, "in time Marcus. You'll see in time."

I scrunched my face up at her words. What was she trying to do? Predict the future or make it? Whatever. "I don't understan-"

Anna's face softened and her eyes sparkled brighter. "Well, I must be off. It was nice meeting you two," she said with a nod.  She started walking then, even that looked graceful as hell. "Take care of eachother. You can get through the hardships. Always have an eye open, things aren't always as it seems, Little Ones," she called over her shoulder.

After that, Bells and I stared at eachother in silence. "That was weird. She...was weird," Bells spoke breaking the dry silence.

I sighed and nodded, "yep, but she was beautiful."

"She was," Bells agreed.

It took a moment to make to realise something. "How did she know my name?" I wondered.

Bells looked at me with a -what-are-you-on-about- face and replied, "huh?"

I cleared my throat and said, "I never told her my name but she knew it."

Soon the little, faint wrinkles between Isabelle's eyebrows started to appear, which means she was thinking hard about something. "You're right!" she exclaimed.

"I know," I said as I rolled my eyes at her. "I probably have Marcus written all over me."

Bells only giggled. My house was in eyesight by then. Thank whatever higher power there is. I was so hungry.

HOLA!
