What can I say? Straight after Ares claimed me as his son, all of the Ares Cabin rushed to welcome me. It is nice, I felt as though I belonged somewhere. Although, I found it funny when Clarisse told me that children of Ares greet eachother by grasping their forearms. She was answering my puzzled looks whenever one of my brothers or sisters grasped my forearm.
For the remainder of the day, all I did was move into Cabin #5 aka Ares' Cabin. My first impression of my new cabin was literally, wow...it needs some serious painting aid. It still looked pretty cool though, it was bright red (my favourite colour) and had barbed wire on the roof. Cool eh? I think so. I almost laughed when I saw a huge boar's head on the doorway. I turned to Clarisse, since she was the counselor of the cabin, she had to make sure I moved in alright. "Why is that there?" I asked with a smile on my face.
Clarisse's lips twitched into a faint smile and said, "the boar's head? A boar is one of Ares' symbol. You need to learn these kind of stuff."
"I guess so, perhaps I should ask one of the Athena campers for a book or something. They're the brainboxes around here, right?" I was only joking on the outside, inside I was actually being serious.
Clarisse snorted and replied, "yeah, sure."
Then we walked into the cabin, I took a look around and it looked quite alright. "Which one's my bed?" I wondered.
"That one." She was pointing to the one near to the corner of the room.
I shrugged and said, "alright, thanks."

I was alone in the cabin when Chiron knocked on the door. "Hello Marcus," he smiled in his rough voice.
"Hi," I said.
He trotted up to me and stood in front of me. "How are you feeling? I know everything must be every strange for you at the moment."
I chewed on my lip and lifted my shoulder and then dropped it. "I'm ok, just a little overwhelmed maybe but good."
"That is understandable, Marcus. If you need any help, you know where to find me or you can just ask Clarisse, Percy or Annabeth. I'm sure they'll help."
I nodded and when I saw that he was about to leave I stopped him by saying, "umm, wait."
And he did. "Yes?" he answered.
"I met Ares before...in my dream. When I was first brought to camp," I informed.
Chiron smiled warmly and said, "Ares hardly makes visits like that. Something about you must be special."
"Really?" I asked a little surprised.
"Yes, Ares has a funny way of showing love to his children. Most of the time, he doesn't interact with them but watch over them. I suppose that must be because he is the God of War. Love is just alien to him," Chiron stated.
I chucked, "oh yeah, that makes sense."
"Don't think anything else though, alright? He's a good father in his own way. Maybe just a little more stricter than the average parent."
I sighed and then said in a hallow voice, "I grew up hating whoever my dad was. I didn't know who he was, mum wouldn't even give me a name. Now I find out that he is a God? Something just doesn't add up."
Chiron groaned and stroked his beard. "Every camper felt the same way or another. You aren't the only one, Marcus."
I nodded. "Oh, hey I was wondering if you could give me a book or something. You know about the Gods and stuff, so that I'll have some knowledge about them."
