Serena comes back inside with Jake as Alice and Rose help Bella up from her spot from the couch.
Edward came up them and thanked both Jake and Serena for their help. Melody and Delphina came up to their sister and held her in a group hug, proud of her for protecting their family.
Everyone gathered around Bella and Rose was telling her that she didn't like the baby names she picked. "Well, I'm on your side no matter what you pick." Jake said. Melody went up to Jake and took his left hand into her right. Mel said, "And I think that they are perfect unique names Bella. Especially the girl's."
Bella smiled and said the names she picked. "They're not bad. If it's a boy, EJ. Edward Jacob." The boys smiled at that, as Rose just rolled her eyes. She then said, "Okay that one is not awful. Why don't you tell them the girl's name." And she did. "I was playing around with our moms names, Renee and Esme. And I was thinking, Renesmee."
The room as quiet. Jake stuttered the name, as Edward, Mel and her sisters laughed at his pronunciation. Bella ask him if it was to weird. Edward spoke and said that it was a perfect name. He liked Renesmee. Bella looked at the mermaids and they agreed. She then looked at Rose, as she picked up the cup that held the blood for Bella. "He likes it." Rose just rolled her eyes and handed Bella the cup.
But in just a blink of an eye, something awful happened. Bella dropped the cup and her back snapped in two. Everyone watched in horror as she fell to the floor, but luckily Edward caught her head.
"Melody go outside with your sisters! Stay outside until we need you." Edward yelled as everyone moved around in a panic.
Melody's POV
My sisters and I were outside with Embry, Leah and Seth. We were waiting for the baby to come any minute now. Bella was in so much pain. I was so worried about her and the baby. I was pacing. I couldn't hold still. Was Bella okay? Was the baby okay?
Then I suddenly heard a baby crying. The baby was here. I heard Edward say the baby's name. It was Renesmee. But then, my relief had faded, when I heard a heart beat die, I knew that it was Bella's.
No. She can't be dead. I saw Jake coming out of the house. He fell on the ground, his knees up with his arms around them, as he hid his head in between them. He was crying for the lost of his best friend. "She didn't make it." I heard Seth say. But I was to focused on comforting my boyfriend. I kneeled down to Jake and held him close to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and placed me in his lap. I held him close to me as he cried his eyes out on my neck. I saw Del crying in Embry's arms and Leah and Seth were comforting Serena.
I cried for the lost of my new friend. I couldn't believe that Bella was gone. I then saw behind a few trees was Paul in his wolf form. He saw me staring at him and he ran off. And I knew that he was going to go tell Sam that Bella is dead. And they'll come her to kill the baby. And I sure as hell was not going to allow that to happen.
I got up and said, "Guys, I just saw Paul. He ran to tell Sam about Bella and the baby. We need to be ready. Seth come with me inside to warn the others. Del, you and Serena come too."
We all head inside and we found Rose in the living room with the baby. It was a girl. Renesmee. I quickly turned to my sisters and Seth. "Girls, I want you both to stay inside."
"What?! No way, you can't fight against the pack." Serena said. "Yes I can. We don't have time to get any water to bend, and I'm the only one that has another power that can be used in a fight. Besides, they can't hurt me, since I'm a imprint."
They nodded and I realized that Seth has been quiet. I turned to him and saw him staring, well more like gazing at Renesmee. He looked like a blind man seeing the sun for the first time. And I knew right away, that Seth imprinted on her. "Oh, my God." Seth snapped out of his trance stared at me.
We then heard Edward yell for us. I heard multiple foot steps coming from the woods. The pack was coming. "Stay here!" I said to my sisters as I ran outside. I stood between Alice and Edward, Jasper was to Edward's right. The pack emerged from the woods and there were to many for the four of us to fight.
"We're out numbered." "By a lot." "I won't let them hurt my family."
I silently agreed. I was to scared to talk. How could Sam do this? Just because the baby is different he picks a fight over something as small as this.
The pack ran forward and we ran towards them. Edward was fighting Sam, Jasper fought Brady, Alice leaped over Quil, but was then tackled by Jared. I was against Paul. I didn't want to fight him, but if he attacked me, I would have no choice but to fight back.
At the corner of my eye I saw Sam pin Edward down with his paw. And just as he was about to attack, he was pushed off of Edward by Carlisle and Esme. Thank God they made it back in time. I then saw Emmett save Jasper from Brady attacking him from behind. Emmett punched any wolf that came to him.
Paul left me and went to fight him. I saw Alice struggling to keep Jared off her. But before I could help her, Leah saved her by tackling Jared off of her. I heard a growl to my left and saw that it was Quil. Jake and Embry came to my side and faced their best friend. Quil started to whine and he started to back away. He didn't want to fight them.
The wolves started to box us in. I heard footsteps coming from the house. I turned and saw my sisters and Seth running out here. Del stood close to Embry, Serena stood close to Carlisle and Edward, and Seth stood in front of everyone, facing his old alpha.
"Stop! It's over!" He yelled at Sam, who tried to get around him, but Seth made sure he didn't get near the house. "If you kill her, you kill me!" Sam ignored his words and push Seth away. Seth phase in mid air and he growled as he stood against Sam and the pack. I saw the wolves faces changing. They were shocked. And I knew why.
"Seth imprinted." Serena said. The Cullens were all shocked at my sister's words, but this was a good thing. "They can't hurt her. Whoever a wolf imprints on, can't be harmed." I felt Jake nudging my side. I smiled at my wolf and rubbed my shoulder against him. Then Serena and Edward said together in unison, "It's their most absolute law."
Sam backed away and the rest of the pack followed after him. Quil was hesitant to leave, because he wanted to be with his best friends, but followed after Sam anyways. I also saw Paul staring at Serena. She told us what she did in order to help, and I bet he was still confused, because he never knew her true feelings. He left and the danger was gone.
Seth turned around and stared at Edward. I could see that he was hesitant to have a wolf as his daughter's mate, but this was a good thing. Edward turned to me at my thoughts. I smiled at him and said, "You know he couldn't control it Ed. Besides, Seth is a good kid. He'll be a good mate to Renesmee."
Edward nodded and accepted it. My sisters and I looked at each other and smiled. The danger was gone. And our family was safe.
"Come on everyone. Let's go meet the newest member of our family." Carlisle said as we all headed inside.
I just wish that Bella was here to see her daughter.
