One and a half year later
Jacob has been spoiling me all day. Well, it was my birthday. We have been to dinner at this fancy Italian restaurant in Seattle, he's bought me a pink rose, a heart shape necklace, and he hand made me a Quileute promise bracelet.
Right now we were back in La Push, on the beach walking bare foot. My shoes were in my left hand, while my right hand was holding Jake's. I thought about everything that has happened in the past year and a half.
Emily and Sam were married and had a baby girl on the way.
Kim and Jared had graduated high school along with Paul, Embry, Quil and Jake. Those two were going strong, and Kim has decided to take college courses in Port Angeles to stay closer to Jared.
Rachel and Paul were strong too. Rachel had gotten used to being back in La Push. Her memories of her mother weren't painful anymore. Billy was happy to have her back.
Quil was still just a big brother figure to Claire since she was almost four. But she still had him wrapped around her little finger.
Collin and Brady were freshmen now and they both had found their imprints. Brady's imprint's name was Lily Owens. She has known Brady and Collin since Preschool. She's always had a secret crush on him. It made Brady happy that his imprint already liked him. She took the whole werewolf thing well. Even Collin's imprint did too. Her name is Maybelle Woodburn. She moved to La Push from Nashville, Tennessee and Collin thought her southern accent was cute. When Collin first saw her, he was hooked instantly. But when Collin exploded into his wolf, she fainted. But she didn't push him away. She said she loved wolves. Those two boys were so happy now.
The Cullens have decided to stay one more year and wait for Seth to graduate high school so that he can go with them to stay close to Nessie.
Bella's dad Charlie, married Sue Clearwater. Seth and Leah were happy for their mom and she was happy too. And I'm sure that Harry would be happy for her too.
Leah imprinted on a nice guy in Port Angeles about two weeks ago. His name is Jayden Huntington, but he likes to be called Jay. Leah has been only a friend so far, but I heard that he asked her on a date. Leah is very excited and she wants this to go well. She says she has a good feeling about this guy. And the best part about him that Leah likes is his British accent. But the guys think that he's hiding something, but us imprints trust him since he is an imprint.
Delphina and Embry are doing good since Embry's mom discovered the secret. Thanks to my sister's lack of focus. But it was good for them to tell his mom the truth and since they told her, Embry found out that Sam was his half-brother.
Serena and Benjamin were never apart. He would give her a red rose everyday, showing how much he loved her since the day they got married. That was an exciting day. All us girls squealed and admired the ring Benjamin gave her, while all the men patted him on the back in congrats. Their wedding day was a beautiful one, thanks to Alice planning it. And to add to more surprises, Serena is pregnant. When Benjamin found out, he was thrilled and spinned Serena around in joy. I was so excited to be an aunt soon.
"What are you thinking about Mel?" Jake asked as we stopped walking. "Just about everything that has happened in the past year and a half. Everything with our family, or friends. So much has changed. Everyone is happy it just makes me so happy. And I can't wait for what the future will hold for us."
Jake smiled at me and he seemed hesitant about something. Then his face changed from nervous to confident. "Well, how about we let our future start now." I was confused with his words, but he surprised me by dropping down to one knee and he took a small white box from his back pocket. He opened it and inside was the most beautiful ring I have ever seen.

"When I went to get the ring, the jeweler was confused when I asked him to replace the diamond with an emerald. I told him I wanted the emerald because it reminded me of your eyes. Melody, you saved my life. Literally. You saved me from drowning, you saved me from being obsessed with a girl I was never going to get. I don't know what I would do without you. So, will you, Melody Triton, make me the happiest man alive, and become my wife?"
I was crying with joy. I nodded my head and yelled. "YES! YES! A HUNDRED TIMES YES!" He placed the ring on my finger, and once he got to his feet, he picked me up and spun us around. I giggled as we spun around. Jake has made me the happiest girl/mermaid on the planet. When we finally stopped spinning. Jake kissed my lips with all his love. I kissed back with all my love too.
We pulled apart for air and I couldn't stop smiling. Neither could he. "I love you so much Jake and I can't wait to be your wife." Jake smiled just as happy as me and said, "Well, I can't wait to become your husband, soon to be Mrs. Black."
That had a nice ring to it. I couldn't wait to see what my wedding would be like.
And I had a feeling many more exciting adventures were to come.
