I smile as I watch him move across the floor. The room erupts in cheers as he makes his classic ankle move. I cringe everytime, I swear. He was so good.Too good, in my opinion. Too good, becasue he continued to make me fall in love with him, each and every day.
Maybe it was the way he ruffled his hair, or the way his eyes crinkled and he threw his head back when he laughed.
Maybe it was becasue he was my best friend, and we have become so close.
I shake my head, pulling myself out of my thoughts as he finishes, walking off. I clap, smiling at him. He smiles back; a small smile.
His smile only grows when he sees her.
I sigh, grabbing my bag when class finally ends. I look back once more, immedialty regretting it when I see his hand intertwine with hers, walking towards the door.
He nods his head when he sees me staring, greeting me a goodbye.
I walk out the door soon after them, the cold hitting me suddenly.
I pull my phone out to text my mom, realizing it's dead. I curse myself mentally, promising myself I would charge it before class next time. I push my phone back into my pocket, hugging my arms to my chest. I look around, hoping Alex or Tim could take me home like they've done before.
Instead, I see Sean kiss her quickly before watching her get into a car. I look down, feeling my heart drop a little like it did everytime.
"Hey." His voice brings my head back up.
I stare at him, taking in his features. I clear my throat, before squeezing out a "hi."
I don't know why I'm acting so awkward around him now. I was with him just last week.
Then I remember what I told myself to never think of again, pushing it to the deepest depths of my mind. Of course, the pain finds it's way to the surface again.
Flashback
"Seannnnn!! I'm here!" I yell towards the stairs after his mom let me in."Coming!" He responds, already making his way down the stairs.
"Hey," he smiles, giving me a side hug. I smile, feeling the heat rush to my cheeks.
"Should we get started?" He asks, nodding his head in the direction of his garage.
"Sure."
"So, for this one I think we should switch it up a bit." He says, as we discuss our new concept video.
"How so?" I tilt my head, more admiring his features then listening to him.
"Well, I was thinking we could do a concept about two people being in a relationship, but one doesn't feel the same and wants to end it. Kinda like we did in Jojo's class the other day." Oh.
I nod, swallowing, "Uh, yeah. That sounds great. Let's get started then."
I quickly stand up form my position on the floor, not wanting him to look at my expression for too long.
