I watched her from afar, her eyes shining brightly in my mind. Her curls hung just past her shoulders, falling over her eyes.
She looked up at the dark sky, a smile playing on her lips. Her cheeks blossomed the prettiest shade of pink.
She spun, her hair flowing with her. Her giggles rang through the street, rain dripping down her face.
A voice brings me out of my thoughts, what is she doing, Bailey laughs, shaking her head at her friend.
I sigh, keeping my eyes on the girl just outside the almost vacant cafe window.
She's just being Kaycee.
I hear a snort to the left of me, tilting my head, I find Josh trying to hide his laugh.
What, I ask, my features turning annoyed.
Bailey sighs, just tell her Sean.
I raise my eyebrow at the girl across from me, tell her what?
Bailey huffs, rolling her eyes.
That you're in love with her, you dumbass.
My eyes widen, taking in both of my friends. I feel the heat in my face, shaking my head.
What-- I don't know what you're talking about, I stutter.
Josh places a hand on my shoulder, you're a bad liar Sean, but good try. He turns back to his food, ignoring my glare.
I turn to Bailey, she shrugs, agreeing.
I huff, motioning for Josh to move so I could get up from the booth.
Where are you going, they ask together.
Outside, I snap, before walking into the ran.

She now stands on the sidewalk, out of sight from the window I was just sitting in.
She stands with her head back, eyes closed. The rain has come to a light mist now, her cheeks dotted with droplets.
I walk up to her quietly, placing my hands on her waist.
She doesn't jump or flinch, even though she couldn't have expected my presence.
She only turns, grinning wildly at me.
You knew it was me, I question.
Yeah, she giggles.
How? I could have kidnapped you. Or worse, I could have killed you! I open my mouth, my eyes widening. This couldn't have happened, though. The street was normally quiet, vacant.
She laughs, pushing me away. Stop, her giggles contine.
Well, how did you know, I ask.
She shrugs, a few drops of precipitation running down her eyelids.
I guess I can just feel your presence, your touch. I just knew it was you.
She turns around again, leaning her head back with her eyes closed.
I smile, admiring her. Just tell her Sean, I run Bailey's words through my head. No, I couldn't actually tell her, that wasn't going to happen.
You look crazy just standing here like this, I laugh, what are you doing?
I see her smile, I like the rain, its calming to me.
I stand there a little longer, deciding that I need to go back inside. Her presence alone was driving me insane.
I turn, walking away. Her words stop me, Stay, dance with me.
I smile wildly, searching her shiny eyes. Why of course, I say, holding my hand out to her.
She laughs, the sound like music to my ears.
I spin her around, our shoes splashing in the rain water.
I pull her close to me, on instinct. My hands go to her waist, bringing her even closer. Surprisingly, her arms lock around my neck, sending shivers down my spine.
She erupts in laughter, throwing her head back.
What, I shake my head at her.
Your nose always looks so funny up close, she taps my nose, laughing.
I cross my eyes, trying to look at my nose. She erupts in laughter once again, her smile warming my heart.
I'm laugh with her, closing my eyes slightly. She brings her head back up, I can feel her watching me.
I open my eyes all the way, seeing how close she was. She leans her forehead against mine, causing my heart to race.
I close my eyes, just tell her, just tell her, just tell her.
Suddenly, I feel a soft pressure on my lips, realizing its her's.
I relax into the kiss, my head racing with the thought that Kaycee was kissing me.
I pull back, cuping her face. I voice my thoughts out loud, is this real?
She blushes, but her expression is serious. I love you Sean, she blurts out.
I laugh, I would hope so after that.
She takes my hand in hers, pulling them off her face. I'm serious, she wines. I know you probably don't feel the same, but I just thought I needed--
I press my finger to her lips, running my thumb over them.
I study the girl I've been in love with for years, wondering how she could be so clueless to my feelings.
Kayc, I breathe, I love you too, I thought it would be obvious.
Her eyes light up, her breath coming out in a rush.
Really? I mean, I thought-- well I didn't think but I hoped--
I laugh, shaking my head. Kayc, just shut up and kiss me.
She smiles brightly, cupping my face in her hands before pressing her lips to mine.
