Healthy {Flashback 2.1}

*Flashback to 5 Years Ago*

Steve's POV

"I should have said something to her." Steve said in his mind. Steve knew that she was already taken but he was still drawn to her. When he opened his apartment door shared with his best friend. The apartment that they only used on days they feel like they needed a break from Tony. He saw you standing there beautiful as ever smiling at him.

"Oh, hey Steve." you said with a smile. "Damn that smile." Steve said in his head.

"(Y/N), um, Buck will be out in a sec." Steve said welcoming you in. You nodded and entered their shared apartment near the Avengers tower. "I should have known Bucky would ask (Y/N) out." he thought to himself. He noticed you looking around and smiling at the pictures of him and Bucky. His heart was beating so fast, maybe it was because of his crush on you or his jealousy of his friend.

"I see you've found the pictures of us." Bucky said from behind Steve. Steve looked over his shoulder as Bucky put his arm around his other shoulder smiling at (Y/N).

You smiled back and replied with a chuckle "Yeah you guys look so cute." Steve remained silent and smiled.

"You ready to go doll?" Bucky said walking towards the door and you nodded yes. You both waved bye to Steve and exited the room.

Steve walked back to his room and laid down on his bed. He started to think about you. How badly he wanted you and that maybe he could get you. I mean you and Bucky went on a few dates. Steve thought that maybe just maybe he could gain his confidence and ask you out. He was afraid to go out with you because he thought back to his previous relationship with Sharon and how he messed up. Steve tried to get you out of his mind by turning on the TV and focusing on that. His eyes began to drift close, but every hour he tossed and turned because the only thing in his dreams he saw you.

Steve was so love sick, but he tried to forget about you and your relationship with Bucky. It was hard though because the two of you were getting so comfortable with one another for 3 months. He thought you two would never draw apart. Until that one day.

He remembered that day when Bucky left with Tony and Bruce looking sad. As he was walking down the hall be passed your closed room and heard you crying. Steve knew that something bad happened.

*2 months later*

After running around the tower and stopping at the farmers market to get some fruit for everyone. As he was preparing his breakfast he heard a voice, your voice. He smiled and turned around seeing you all sweaty probably from sparing with Sam. The two of you were talking and sharing his breakfast. "This is it, I only have this one chance." he said in his mind.

"You know I was wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime. I feel like I never see you during the day, you're always so busy." Steve said.

"Yeah, I'd like that Steve." you said smiling back at him as you exited the kitchen.

"Holy shit I did it!" Steve said to himself excited.

*Later that evening*

Steve was laying in his bed reading a book about how these five kings were fighting over a throne. Until he heard a faint knock on his door. He looked at the time and it was 8:45. He walked towards the door and opened it wide. That's when he saw you in . He because flustered when he spoke to you, but luckily he interrupted you saying that you wanted to hang out with him tonight. He agreed to go out with you and Steve rushed to his bathroom. Luckily his closet was connected to his bathroom. He wanted to look classy, but also wanted that look to make you fall in love with him. That's when he found  that matched your navy dress. "Perfect." Steve said to himself. You both went to a restaurant that Tony always bothered everyone about and talked until the restaurant closed.
