We slowly walked through the darkening streets of Hill Valley, there weren't many streets of shops so we really stayed on the main roads. People smiled as we went on our way. Marty had his arm around my shoulder, we went to sit on a bench in front of the old clock tower.
"So, the sun's almost down, you have to go soon don't you?" I ask, remembering his curfew. He sighed.
"Yeah it must be at least eight, my parents won't be pleased." He said. "... Or they won't care cause mom will be drunk and dad will probably be in the office doing paperwork for Biff." Marty said.
"What?" I ask, not totally understanding what he just said.
"My family isn't the best, my mom drinks all the time and my dad is basically a slave to his boss, Biff. My brother and sister are okay, but they probably don't even notice I'm gone, they have their own lives." Marty said.
"Aw, I'm sorry Marty, come on, lets go to your house. I'm sure they're wondering where you are." He jumped.
"You can't!" He said. "My mom doesn't approve of me having a girlfriend and it'll be hard to convince her that we're just friends."
"She doesn't trust you?"
"I guess not." Marty sighed. "I'll walk you home, where do you live?"
"Lyon Estates, I can show you, I don't remember the number just yet."
"That's where I live! And that's far. We can grab a cab." He said, I nodded, I couldn't believe he lived there too. We got into the cab and told him where we wanted to go, thankfully Marty had money, cause I didn't bring any. We rode in silence, when we got to Lyon Estates, the cab driver asked me to tell him where my house was. I told him and we pulled into the driveway. Marty came and escorted me to the door.
"Well I had an amazing night Marty!" I exclaimed.
"I did too! Can we exchange phone numbers in case you want to hang out sometime?" He said, sweat appearing on his forehead.
"Of course!" I said and took a paper out of my backpack, which I'd carried the whole time. I wrote my home number and ripped the page in half, giving one side for Marty to write his. We exchanged and I knocked on the door, it opened and my father stood there.
"Oh hello Macey! And you are?" He asked Marty.
"Marty McFly, nice to meet you sir!" He said and shook my dad's hand. I felt my face heat up. "Well I need to get home, have a wonderful night." Marty said and waved when he got to the taxi. I smiled and waved as my dad led me into the house.
"Well he's, something isn't he." My dad said and sat down on the couch, patting the cushion beside him, I sat there.
"Yeah, he's fun." I said, smiling.
"I don't know how to tell you this Macey, but... I don't really like him." Dad said.
"How can you not like him if you've never spent time with him?" I ask, slightly ticked that my dad would assume so harshly. Marty was amazing.
"I can see it in his eyes, he's a troublemaker and I don't want you hanging around with boys like that." My dad said. Tears formed in my eyes.
"Marty and I had a wonderful time tonight, he's better than you think, goodnight." I said and ran to my room. I flopped on my bed and looked at the phone on my side table. Maybe I could- no, I shook my head and forced myself to go to sleep.
