PART 02 — TWO OF FIVE.

" NEMESIS: the ineluctable agent of
someone's or something's downfall;
a long-standing rival; an arch enemy. "

see:

THE GODS SAY:

the Devil's darling is as fine as they come and (s)he does not come often. (s)He is angelheaded and made of edges of the finest China and Michelangelo; molded out of the lips of a goddess and spine of Goliath; individuals like the one whom enchants and devours and eventually drives you manic; sitting across Orion's belt, lunatic with a lunatic tongue that is destined to put end to the Earths and all that swirls around; ones who spit rosebuds and bury fangs and claws into earth; ones who take your last breath and feed off it.

BUT (S)HE SAYS:

I may be a little off; off the rocker, off the path, out of my little mind; though none of it matters in the end, because where have your Angels gone, love? where have your Devils fled to, to seek shelter for the vengeance I will lay upon thee? I whisper beauty like a painting and you pity me even though the rattling of my bones tells you I have broken my own wings; this will be your downfall, fool; my salvation is rotten and there is no calm beneath my storm;

[(S)HE LAUGHS.]

ALL I WANT IS TO SEE THEM ALL BURN IN A RING OF FEIRY HAIL; all I want is them dead. and I am God; so if I say that they must all die and perish like ashes and dust and quartz between the fingers, then there will be no more.

AUTHORS NOTE.

part two commences and quite honestly? this is where the *grim* truly starts. by the end of this part (and the next part, certainly) you'll undoubtedly be wanting to murder me because i'm simply evil like that. one good bit of advice: don't get too attached to any of the characters. i'm not sparing any of them. the ones you hate may become the ones you love and vice versa. the good may die and the bad may live, and vice versa.

i tried to keep the poem as ambiguous as possible to leave it all up to the readers interpretation; the devil can come in many shapes and forms and is more than present in this story - but who is (s)he really? is the devil evil? is the devil good? let me know your thoughts on the poem, since i'm curious - personally, i find this work of mine very odd, but that's not much of a surprise as i wrote this around 4am, about four hours before my english exam. whoops.

OH and lastly, i hope you're all having or have had good exams! i did my last one yesterday and overall they went well (uh, if you look past chemistry because that's just... not my thing) and i hope yours did too! and also, happy holidays! hope you all get to spend it with those near to you, whom melt your heart in the sweetest manner - the same way snow will, far too soon for my liking.
