Chapter 14

Language warnings for Hidan
I didn't know which two akatsuki members were coming so I had to prepare everything I had, if even one of them got away they would know what was going on and I would have no chance so I had to deal with them both at the same time. Konan and Pein would not come, I knew that they were Akatsueki when I met them and knew that I would have to get rid of them or come to some agreement with them.
"Oi bastard when the fuck are we fucking getting there?" cussed a voice that I knew from the memories that the spiders had sent me.
"Hidan the immortal and Kakuzu the five hearts" I whispered to myself, stopping myself from leaning on the tree I was standing near.
'Well I wasn't expecting the best right now but I had to do this, if not there was no way Asuma would survive' I thought to myself as I threw a kunai and Kakazu caught it.
"So I hear you are going after the twelve guardians.....I can't allow that," I said turning and they looked at me.
"Who the fuck do you fucking think you are bastard?" Hidan demanded and I looked at them.
"Just a lonely travelling shinobi" I said since I had taken my leaf headband off and put it in my weapon pouch.
"Wait just a moment Hidan, there seems to be something different with this boy" Kakazu tried to warn his partner and I looked at them.
"I will deal with this fucker, don't you fucking worry Kakazu" Hidan smirked and I looked at them as Hidan grabbed his sycthe out.
"Come on then" I challenged taking my katana out. Both me and Hidan clashed our weapons together us both having the same force behind them so we were stuck in a lock as I looked at him. I knew Hidan's ability to get his victims blood and inflict pain on them from his own body so there was no way I could let my blood get on him or his blade. We both clashed many times over neither of us taking a hit or giving a hit until I saw it happening.

Instantly I jumped, placing a hand on Hidan's shoulder and flipping over him, making Kakuzu's thread miss me.
"It's not fair to gang up on one person is it" I glared looking at them my sword still drawn as I watched them.
"Oi bastard I can handle the fucker" Hidan snapped glaring at Kakuzu.
"You have been hitting blades for an hour already" Kakuzu scoffed, making me look at the sun and the position showed an hour had gone by.
"Guess I will just have to finish this soon, people will be worried, and I have some more things to do now" I decided as I placed my katana into the sheath and sealed it away.
"Who do you think you are" Hidan growled turning his glare to me
 "My name is Kuroki Uzumaki, I'll try and make this quick" I said, turning and slamming my hand straight into the ground making it crumble.
"The female Sanin's strength" Kakuzu noted but I didn't react as I turned and slammed my leg down where Hidan had been but he had managed to move out the way but now there was a small dent in the ground. I started going threw hand signs quickly.
"Suiton: Great water dragon" I yelled out as I pulled the water out of the air and a giant dragon made of water appeared behind me and they looked at me shocked but they both jumped not getting hit but they then stood on the water their feet covered.
"What was the point of that?" Kakuzu scoffed, looking at me.
"You damn fucker now my coat is wet" Hidan hissed and I nodded.
"I know" I said flashing threw hand signs while dodging the attacks they sent at me.
"Raiton: Lightning strike" I called and lightning crackled around the sky as I brought my hand down and it hit the ground while they had jumped.
"What was the fucking point of that you fucking bastard? Wasting yoru chakra like that will make my fucking job easier" Hidan smirked and I smirked as well.
"Wait Hidan don't-," Kakazu tried as he redirected himself to not hit the ground but land on a tree but Hidan didn't as the lightning carried from the water straight into his body making him scream out and pass out. More than likely his internal organs were fried but since he was immortal I knew that he wasn't going to die from something like that.

"One down, one to go," I said looking at Kakuzu who was glaring at me.
"Just who are you?" Kakuzu spat and I narrowed my eyes.
"Just a simple traveller" I said as I grabbed a scroll and threw it, hitting Hidan as his body disappeared and I grabbed the scroll tucking it into my pouch.
"Now to deal with you" I said as I looked at Kakuzu as he split himself up into the five hearts and main body, each heart had an element and then the main body if the main body's heart got taken out then one of the others would return to sustain the body. I needed to take each heart out and also the main body at the same time.
"Hm guess I will have to do this the hard way" I sighed as Kakuzu and all of the heart bodies rushed at me but I turned countering every hit that they threw my way or I dodged the hit.
"Katon: Great fireball" I yelled and spat out a giant blue fire ball towards the earth heart and dodged the water and lightning heart and flipped over the water heart.
"Uzumaki kinjutsu: Frozen time" I called out and everything went silent and in slow mode while I turned and positioned everything right just as the jutsu wore off. They cast their jutsus only at each other, making me smirk as all the hearts took fatal blows and destroyed each other.
"What..." Kakuzu said and I turned in time slamming my foot down straight on Kakuzu's head knocking him to the ground and I turned and slammed the scroll onto him and his body sealed within it.

Gasping for breath I fell onto the ground panting, sweat pouring out of me and bruises covering my body. While they hadn't managed to draw blood I was bruised up a lot.
"Uzumaki kinjutsus suck, they always take a lot of chakra and make me sleepy" I whispered looking at the sky and the clouds smiling a little.
"Don't you worry Shikamaru, I will be back and in the village before you even know it" I said thinking about Shikamaru and how he always loved to watch clouds.

Third person POV
"Have you guys seen Kuroki?" Shikamaru questioned, looking at Ino, Choji and Asuma.
"No, I went to his apartment this morning and he wasn't there," Asuma told the shadow user.
"I'm gonna go and check on him, troublesome guy" Shikamaru yawned as he headed out of the restaurant going to Kuroki's apartment. When Shikamaru got there he knocked on the door but heard nothing from inside.
"Hm....His chakra isn't around, perhaps he is out" Shikamaru said before he went around the village asking if they had seen Kuroki but none of them had. Now Shikamaru was really worried so he went back to Kuroki's apartment.
"Kuroki you in? Look can you just" Shikamaru started knocking on the door but then the door opened making him freeze, reach into his weapon pouch grabbing a kunai knife out and crept into the house and shut the door.
"Kuroki" Shikamaru whispered as he went around checking the rooms but no one was there including Kuroki.
"There are no signs of a struggle and no chakra has been used to defend or attack in here, where are you Kuroki?" Shikamaru questioned looking around until his eyes landed on a letter on Kuroki's desk along with a scroll.
"What is this....I probably shouldn't but I have to" Shikamaru sighed as he opened the letter and he started to read it.

'Dear whoever finds this more than likely it will be Shikamaru or Asuma, I have a few things to pass on first off to Shikamaru. I love you, no matter what happens that will never change and know that I didn't want to leave again so soon but I had to. If I make it back I will make it up to you and explain everything but if there is a chance I don't come back at all I want you to move on Shikamaru please promise me that. Asuma you were like a father figure, you somehow always knew what to say, how to protect me and what I needed to be told so I want to thank you for that. I knew before I met you I was going down a dark path and I would have been dead if I had continued so thank you for helping me. Please know that I have a reason for leaving, if I come back I will take any punishment you have for me but if I don't please marry Kurenai and be happy I know you are both head over heels so please make each other happy. Sarutobi, you were a grandfather even when I had no one else you were in the shadows looking out for me like a Hokage should and I am glad I stopped Orochimaru from killing you, I will never regret that ever. I apologise for leaving like this but I will explain if I get back but if I don't then please take me to the whirlpool country bury me with my people. For the rest of you, Gai, Kurenai, Kakashi, Sakura, Ino, Hinata, Sasuke, Kiba, Shino, Choji, Naruto and everyone else I will miss you dearly but I have reasons that I can not explain right now. On my death the scroll that is with this letter will open it will explain everything and bring a lot of things to light please forgive me, Kuroki,' Shikamaru read as his legs gave out and he sat on the floor his eyes running over the letter for some sort of code something to explain this to him but he didn't find anything.

Numbly Shikamaru got up with the letter unrolled in his hand and the scroll in his other hand and he started to walk out of the apartment.
"Hey Shikamaru, you found Kuroki?" Naruto asked but the Nara heir ignored Naruto all together and continued walking.
"Hey Shikamaru, come on man what's up?" Naruto questioned but once again it was like Shikamaru didn't hear him.
"Shikamaru" Naruto tried again, placing a hand on Shikamaru's shoulder. The Nara looked at Naruto with a completely blank look making Naruto flinch back a little and Shikamaru looked in front and kept moving. Instead of talking to him Naruto decided to follow him and watch as Shikamaru walked up to a hill that Shikamaru and Kuroki had shared their first kiss and that they had confessed to each other. When Shikamaru got there he dropped the letter and scroll and fell to the ground sobbing and crying making Naruto's eyes go wide.
"Shikamaru come on," Naruto said, trying to get him up but he just laid there sobbing. The letter that Shikamaru had dropped caught Naruto's eyes and he turned and picked it up as he read.
"Oh Shikamaru, come on let's get you home" Naruto whispered as he gently helped Shikamaru up as he was still crying hysterically. When Naruto got to the Nara compound Shikaku and Yoshino were instantly out.
"What happened?" Yoshino demanded as she hugged her son trying to calm him down.
"Here," Naruto said, giving Shikaku the letter.
"I see, get him inside I have to get to the Hokage she is going to want to know this" Shikaku sighed and Yoshino nodded.
"Oh that boy, when I get my hands on him he will wish he had died" Yoshino snapped as she helped Shikamaru into the house.
