Chapter 15

Kuroki's POV
I was still laying on the ground before I managed to pull myself up to sit and saw I had fallen asleep and it was the next day. There was a message bird and I put my arm up and it landed and saw it was from Gaara in the sand village.
'I got rid of Deidara and Sasori, still safe, the whole village helped me take them down' I read and I smiled and nodded.
"I am glad, that means I have Itachi, Kisame, Zetsu, Madara, Pein and Konan left. If I can find the real Pein and Konan then I can reason with them, hopefully. The same can be said about Itachi and Kisame but Zetsu and Madara they won't be reasoned with and then there is Obito as well......So much to do and I'm only one person, please forgive me Shikamaru for doing this I can tell you are hurting" I said holding my chest where there was a pain stabbing threw me.
"Kiratin, where is Itachi and Kisame?" I enquired a small spider appearing on my hand.
"They are on their way to the leaf village they are halfway between the Sand and leaf" Kiratin reported and I nodded.
"Keep an eye on them for me, I will get there as soon as I can" I said and he nodded before disappearing.

Instead of using shushin I simply ran there as fast as I could with no breaks and it was a full day when I finally caught up to them.
"Who are you?" a gruff voice said and I looked to see Itachi and Kisame facing me, Kisame's sword ready while Itachi had a kunai knife he was trying to keep hidden in his hand.
"I am not here to fight, I am here simply to talk," I said looking at them.
"Then talk," Itachi said emotionlessly.
"I want you to help me get rid of the akatsuki" I stated and they looked at me before Kisame laughed.
"Yeah right, like you could do that," Kisame cackled.
"I have already defeated Kakuzu, Hidan, Sasori and Deidara, I wish for your help Itachi, I could care less about you Kisame since you are basically in it for fun" I explained and Itachi looked at me trying to get a read.
"Your brother knows the truth now" I said and Itachi's eyebrow twitched.
"How does he know?" Itachi demanded glaring at me.
"I told him the truth, same as I told Naruto Uzumaki the truth behind his parents. Sometimes people don't need to know the truth and other times it hurts but they need to know the truth" I answered.
"What is it you need then?" Itachi asked, looking at me, Kisame standing silently watching.
"I ask for your help to get rid of the Akatsueki and make this world something better than it is," I replied.
"The only way for that is through eternal peace," Kisame said and I shook my head.
"No, you can never get rid of peace nor can you get rid of chaos, no matter what you try there is no such thing as true peace or true chaos. You can not have one without the other, the plan that Madara has, the Infinity Tsukimo. It's nothing more than a lie, putting people in a genjutsu is not true peace" I told them and they looked at me.
"How would you know what true peace is?" Itachi hissed and I could see he was becoming defensive.
"I don't know what true peace is. That is the point no one knows what true peace is, this genjutsu, it won't bring your loved ones back no matter how much you wish for it. I know you are a double agent Itachi, so help me before they bring this world into chaos and everything gets destroyed including Sasuke" I said and he looked at me.
"I will help you" Itachi decided and I nodded, smiling gently before turning to Kisame.
"Eh no thanks, I'm not fighting a war that I am sure is destined to fail" Kisame shrugged and I nodded.
"That is understandable, I am not going to ask you to do something you don't believe in" I said and he nodded before leaving, promising to come and annoy Itachi sometimes if we survived.
"What is your plan?" Itachi enquired.
"First I need to go and get Pein and Konan" I said and he raised an eyebrow.
"They believe in peace, they are just going the wrong way about it, let's go" I ordered and he nodded while taking off threw the trees with me as I headed towards where I could feel Pein's chakra coming from.

"How do you believe you will beat Madara and Zetsu?" Itachi questioned and I looked at the sky as we ran.
"I'm not sure yet if I can manage to get Obito away from them, I can use a seal on him to make him see sense but the other two. I have a few reinforcements for me to pick up, hopefully they will be able to help" I said and he nodded as we stopped where I could feel chakra coming from the paper tree.
"Itachi, what is the meaning of this?.....Kuroki" Konan said and I nodded.
"I am here to see you and Nagato" I said, making her gasp a little but then the paper went away revealing the real Nagato.
"Why are you here?" Nagato demanded, looking at me while Itachi decided to stand back a little, leaving the talking to me.
"I want to make you see what you are doing, won't bring you true peace" I said and they looked at me.
"When I was little I had no idea why everyone else had parents and I didn't, everyone picked on me because I was different and I didn't know why. I found out about my mother. She was killed because she loved my father. Believe me, I know the pain you have gone through, losing the ones you love but peace. True peace can only come when you work hard for it, you can't just put everyone into a genjutsu and expect true peace. That is nothing more than a lie everyone will still be dead, that is the way of life you need to accept that Yahiko is dead. He isn't alive anymore" I announced and they glared at me.
"The way of life no matter what everyone dies, there is no stopping that. When I found out about my mother I wanted to scream, yell and bring her back, I never wanted to let her go but then I realised even if I brought her back she would never be happy. Not only that I would have to watch her die all over again, please you have to trust me, this genjutsu isn't the way for peace. The only way to get peace is to somehow unite the five nations, there is no way one country can have peace by itself" I tried to reason with them and they looked at me.
"How do you know this?" Nagato questioned and I looked at them.
"I was alone for the longest time, I thought for sure I would die before anyone even got close to me but then I made friends and I realised I would give my life for them if it meant protecting them. Everyone feels this way, the truth is, that there is no such thing as true peace or world peace, no matter what there is still going to be death and killing but you can stop the wars. You can stop the stupid killings just because the person isn't liked by a village, if I manage to unite the village's hopefully there will be a chance to stop the pointless killing and war but I can't do that on my own. I need help, please help me bring about a world I know you both want" I pleaded and reached my hand out for them to take.

"Kuroki.....I will help" Konan decided and they looked at her shocked, I looked at her shocked as well.
"Konan" Nagito started.
"No Nagito this is the world we love, even when we are in a genjutsu we still send children to war, they are still fighting. I can't live with the fact that there are harmless and defenceless children out there, just like you, Yahiko and I were before we met Jiraiya-sensei. I can't take the thought that there are others out there, suffering out there like we did. Kuroki, he knows the pain that we have felt and he knows that there is a way to stop the war. A way to bring a state of peace without pointless killing, please don't make me choose between you and this," Konan whispered looking at Nagito with tears in her eyes.
"What is your plan?" Nagito sighed looking at me, knowing that he could not leave his friend by herself, nor could he harm her.
"Hopefully I will find Obito by himself and manage to get some sense into him but then I have to take out Madara and Zetsu so I am going to use a Uzumaki kinjutsu to get some reinforcements. I can add another to the list but I need to borrow one of your paths of pain" I smiled and Nagito looked at me.
"I will help though I am not much use, not being able to move for here" Nagito decided and I nodded a little.
"I can help you with that, hold still" I said walking to him and cutting my palm using the blood to put some seals on his forehead, wrists, legs and stomach.
"Uzumaki forbidden jutsu: Body restoration" I said placing my hands on Nagito as my hands glowed green of the healing jutsu. Finally I finished and collapsed to my knees coughing a little and panting making Itachi race to me and look at me.
"What was that?" Konan gasped as she looked at Nagito in awe that looked like he did before he used his Rinnegan to look around and make sure this was real.
"Uzumaki kinjutsu, it is nearly impossible to use. You need a lot of chakra, if you don't have enough it takes your life force. Luckily I have large chakra reserves so I have enough to make the kinjutsu work but only just, it will take me a bit to manage to get all my chakra back" I explained and they looked at me.
"How long?" Itachi questioned.
"Three hours give or take a bit, this kinjutsu doesn't take too much from me but the more advanced the jutsu the more chakra needed. I suggest, Nagito that you get used to moving around as well as fighting again" I suggested and he nodded before he and Konan started to spar against each other.

Finally a few hours had passed and my chakra was back so I got up and grabbed a scroll.
"What are you doing now?" Itachi enquired.
"Retrieving some people, Konan, if you could make a shrine?" I requested and she nodded, putting her arms out as paper flew off them and reassembled as a shrine, making me nod before walking to the opening.
"That path of pain please Nagato" I said and he nodded before one of them walked up to me.
"Are you going to do another kinjutsu?" Nagato asked and I nodded.
"In a way, yes, it's best if you stay out here. If something goes wrong you three will be the only ones left to tell the villagers that they need to band together against Madara" I warned before I walked into the shrine with the paper doors closing behind me. I closed my eyes and breathed out before biting my thumb and sliding it on the scroll and four scrolls came out, three that looked like the one they had been sealed in but they had the kanji for Hidan, Kakuzu and Sasori. While the other scroll was large, it reminded me of the toad summoning contract that Jiraiya carried around on his back. I sat the three normal scrolls on the ground before I grabbed the large one and twirled it around so it was fully open and swirling around me. Sitting down on my knees in a praying position I started the hand signs, my eyes opening to show the pattern that I had seen when I had first activated them when versing Orochimaru. I pulsed my chakra opening one of the paths instantly starting to sweat as I poured as much chakra as I could into my eyes and the final hand sign as I focused.
'A jashin worshiper, one meant to be dead, someone that has defied death but now dead and finally one that has been dead but yet still alive, and you wish to only bring those three up' a voice boomed, bouncing around in my head.
'They are all that I need, there is no one else that I need nor want to bring back' I thought back to the voice.
'Very well your jutsu shall be allowed to work along with an added bonus, I apologise for the bonus not being what your heart wishes' the voice boomed before I felt the large chakra drain and I dropped out of my position onto the ground panting heavily.
"W-W-What happened?" a voice groaned and I moved pushing myself up to sit against the wall and I looked at the four people there now instead of the scroll and I smiled tiredly.
"Thank god it worked, I wasn't sure it would" I whispered.
"Who are you? What is going on?" the red head demanded and I smiled a little.
"It's fine Kushina Uzumaki, Minato Namikaze, Rin and Yahiko" I smiled a little and they looked at me.
"I have managed to make a deal with the Shinigami to bring you back to life" I told them while getting to my feet.
