Epilogue

The next day when Tsunade came in for my check up I asked her to get Sarutobi and put up silencing seals before telling them about Danzo and showed them the evidence I had gathered. They were shocked but reassured me that it would be dealt with and I should take it easy for now. Before I knew it I was healing up my friends visiting me each day they weren't on missions and while most of them were angry to start off with they understood why I did what I did, saying that if they were in my place I would do the same.
Danzo was tried and found guilty of his crimes and executed, Itachi was welcomed back to Konoha and no one was more happy than Sasuke. Jiraiya, Tsunade and Sarutobi were also happy to have Orochimaru back and welcomed him to Konoha once more along with Kabuto and they settled down to help the hospital and research department.
While Konan, Nagato and Yahiko had been offered positions in Konoha they refused and Yahiko became the leader of the Rain village that turned into one of the greatest villages to stand, along with his two friends who were happy to have each other back.
Minato and Kushina both decided not to be ninjas again, they sat back and decided to watch their son grow and enjoy his life while enjoying their own life together. Rin was glad that Kakashi and Obito were friends and Obito finally confessed his feelings for Rin who had kissed him making them a couple that Kakashi was only too happy to support them. Kakashi decided that he would not be going back to being an ANUBU, he would stay and be a sensei until he retired.
Before I knew it, years had flown by and I was an ANUBU captain while Shikamaru was an ANUBU captain as well as the helper to the next hokage Naruto Uzumaki, who finally got his dream. Alongside him were his parents cheering him on, along with his wife Hinata with a son on the way, Boruto.
"What do you think, Shikamaru?" I asked, looking at him smiling and he grinned a little as well.
"Troublesome husband, of course I agree, come on let's get Shikadai home" Shikamaru chuckled and I smiled as I cradled the baby that had been orphaned. His parents were ninjas that died in the line of duty and I smiled looking at Shikamaru and the new family member. I would never regret my choice to go against the Akatsueki by myself after all, more than likely none of this would have ever happened if I had let the war happen. We were mostly at peace but there were still rogue ninjas and enemies out there and there always would but we would stand together against them. Me and Shikamaru while looking down at the babe decided then and there that we would protect him with our lives as well as the children that our friends were having and when the time was right we would pass the will of fire over to the new generation.
