I looked back for Laura, but she was helping the kids with their jackets.

"Laura Hunni, come here! Kids, go and sit in the living room" they nodded and went to sit, while Laura came up to me. The guy noticed her.

"Sorry, are you Laura Marano?!"

"Who's asking?"

"I'm sorry, I forgot. I was off duty when I was told to do this. I'm officer Lynch" my eyes widened. That's my name.

"Do I know you officer?" He shook his head.

"Why do you ask that sir?" I looked at Laura and she had the same expression, I think she knew what I was talking about.

"This is the 'Lynch' family" the officer's eyes widened.

"Ross?" I was taken back by his reaction. I grabbed Laura's hand and stood back and got a hold of the door ready to slam it shut.

"Yes, why?" He just smiled widely.

"Ok, can I tell you a couple of things?" I nodded.

"Ok firstly, Laura, do you know a Ellen Marano?" She nodded.

"Yes, she is my mother! Why sir?"

"She is currently in hospital, but it isn't looking to good!" Laura starting crying into my chest, I didn't blame her. I was cuddling her to try and comfort her.

"I'm sorry" I nodded again.

"Now your wondering why I have the same second name, aren't you?" I nodded.

"Well, my name is Mark Lynch, I'm your father!" Then all I seen was blackness.
