Grown woman

Carl's pov

My heart pounded as I made my way over to taylor. She was facing away from me. When she heard me, she turned and rolled her eyes, turning back away from me.

"Hey" I whispered walking up next to her.

"What do y want grimes?" She sneered.

Grimes? Damn i must've really made her mad. I sighed and nervously scratched the back of my neck,

"I'm sorry"

That got her to look at me,"what did you say?"

"I'm sorry...it's just" I sighed hoping she wouldn't make me explain. I looked at her to see her waiting for me to continue. I sighed and said,

"Every girl that I seem to care about either dies or gets hurt. I had to put my mom down. The only other person I've been close with is kayla. I won't lose her like I did mom. Her Judith,or elaina, but things keep happening and she ends up getting hurt or worse. Ive thought she was dead more than once and I completely shut down. I didn't think I had anything else to worry about, but then You came along."

"Carl" she gasped.

"I've tried to push you away, but I just can't. I can't ...I don't have the strength to stay away from you." I said.

I felt her hand grab mine and squeeze,"then don't"

She smiled and leaned in to kiss me. Fireworks started going off again in my stomach. I was enjoying this a little too much when someone cleared their throats. I quickly jumped from her and we both turned to see kayla smirking against a car door. I know I was turning bright red as she started to laugh,

"Ha! Sucks don't it!"

I death glared her knowing she was having the time of her life getting me back for what I did to her and daryl. She smiled and grabbed Taylor's hand,

"Come on girl let's have some sister bonding."

I turned even brighter red than before which caused them both to laugh hard. Alright I know she was getting me back, but this was crossing the line. I glared at them both as kayla pulled taylor away.

Kayla's pov

That was priceless! Taylor and I ran towards the woods laughing our asses off.

"Oh my god!" She exclaimed.

"I know! I didn't know it was possible for a humans face to get that bright red" I laughed so hard I was crying.

I didn't realize how long we had been out there when we started hearing our names being yelled. We headed back still laughing. When we got back to the road, everyone was about to leave. Daryl immediately stormed up to me. He looked extremely pissed. Why? He grabbed me harshly by the arm and pulled me over by the bike.

"Ow! Daryl! Let go yer hurting me!" I yelled.

He finally let go and turned to me angrily,"where the fuck were you!"

"Geez daryl calm down" I said.

"Don't tell me to calm down! No one knew where you were and we were about to leave!" He yelled,

I looked at him like he was crazy,"what the hell daryl? I was just in the woods with taylor"

"In the woods? Ya got a damn death wish? You suicidal or somethin!" He yelled.

"Daryl what the fuck is your problem! I don't need a damn babysitter! I was fine!" I yelled getting pissed.

"Seems like ya do since yer wondering off! Stupid shit like that gets ya killed!" He growled.

"Daryl I'm a grown woman! I can take care of myself!" I said.

"Fine! Go get yerself killed then! See if I care!" He growled.

I just stared in shock at him. I was so beyond angry I couldn't control myself as I hit him right across the face. I turned around and stormed off towards the cars.

"Ey! Where you goin!" He yelled.

"I'm riding with someone else you asshole!" I yelled.

Before he could say anything I made my way to michonnes car,

"You mind if I ride with you?"

She just shook her head and I smiled as I opened up the door and took a seat. Seconds later we started to move as I fell asleep quickly playing with my necklace daryl got me for my birthday.
