Kayla's pov

The next day I woke up with a smile on my face. My babies snuggled into my chest and daryls arm around me. It meant everything to me. My family was back together. While I admired my family a flash of light went off along with an annoying noise and soft laughter. My family started twisting as I saw Maggie and Glenn at the doorway chuckling. Maggie was holding my Polaroid. daryl sat up and rubbed his eyes and saw the other couple and groaned,

"What ya want?"

"Rick wants to see us before we head out today. Told us to come get you guys" Glenn answered.

"And the camera?" I asked.

"Too cute of a moment to pass up" Maggie smiled.

I smirked and daryl rolled his eyes. I looked down at the twins a little shake to wake up. They rubbed their eyes and I smiled,

"Time to get up and get breakfast."

They got up and ran downstairs as we walked down with Maggie and Glenn. I was walking side by side with Maggie while the men were infront of us. I kept noticing daryl would steal glances back at us. Maggie smirked,

" seems yer being watched"

I chuckled,"yah he's been like this since yesterday"

"He's just makin sure yer safe" she smiled.

I nodded and said," yep and normally it would annoy the hell out of me, but I understand"

"I'm glad yer back, thought I lost a sister" she smiled and handed me the picture she took.

"Thanks" I smiled

When we reached Rick he was outside looking over the map again. He smiled as we approached him. He kissed my forehead and then look towards our group. Daryl immediately put his arm around my waist. I smirked, I wasn't allowed out of his sight or inches from his grasp. Oddly I was ok with this.

"Today we leave for mason. I need a group to head into town for a few things before we leave." Rick said.

"I'm in" michonne said.

Glenn and Maggie looked at each other and nodded," us too"

"So am..." I started to say but was cut off by daryl,

"Don't even think about it"

Everyone's eyes fell on us as I starred in disbelief to my husband.

"What?" I asked.

"Ya ain't goin. Yer stayin here where ya be safe" he said.

"I'm fine daryl" I scorned.

"Ya and thts how I'm gonna keep ya! Yer stayin here!" He spat.

"I don't have to do what you tell me. I can make my own decisions" I yelled.

"O yea? How well has tht worked for ya huh? If ya would've listen ta me before none of that shit ya went through would've happened" he yelled.

I jumped at his voice and how dangerous his eyes looked. He was breathing heavily, but starred straight in my eyes. His anger soon turned to worry and he slowed his breathing.

"I can't lose ya again. I just got ya back" his voice cracked while looking at the ground.

I walked up to him and took his face in my hands,"I'm not goin anywhere."

"That's what ya said last time" he said meeting my eyes again.

I lightly smiled,"daryl"

He studied me for a minute and then finally sighed, " fine but ya stay by me at all times"

"Always" I smiled.

I set my hands back down by my sides as daryl and I turn back to the others. I smiled at them and daryl entangled our hands. Rick smirked and went back to getting things ready for the run. Once we had our jobs we headed to the cars. Daryl and I of course were taking the bike. As we were helping pack things in the back or Glenn's car ,Rick approached us,

"Hey"

"Hey" I smiled setting the weapons in the back.

"Make sure ya come back this time ok?" He said.

I smiled," course dad. Make sure the twins don't get into too much trouble"

"That's impossible. Look who their parents are" he smirked.

I stuck my tongue out at him and he chuckled and kissed my forehead. Beth then brought over our last bag. I smiled,taking it from her and put it in the back. She seemed more nervous than normal.

"You alright?" I asked.

"I wanna come with" she said.

My eyes widened and I turned to Rick who looked just as shocked as I did.

"I want to start contributing" she Saudi.

" you do contribute, you take care of the..." I started but she cut me off,

"No I mean really contribute. I don't just want to sit around anymore"

"You ask yer dad?" Rick asked.

"Yes, it's fine"she said, but I could tell she was lying.

Rich sighed and turned to me. I just crossed my arms and shrugged. He sighed,

"Alright then just stay close to your sister"

She smiled widely and nodded. Suddenly the growling of a motorcycle filled the air. I smirked and looked over seeing daryl sitting on the bike looking in my direction. I chuckled,

"That's my cue"

"Be careful" Rick said.

I nodded and made my way over to the bike. I hopped on behind daryl and crossed my arms across his waist. I watched as Beth got in the car and we started moving. Something in my gut was telling me I should've said somethin to Rick about her lying, but I didn't. She'd have to learn sooner or later.
