*Sam POV*
I walked quietly into my first hour class. All eyes drifted towards me, I hate being the new kid. My dad is always moving around for work, so I'm the new kid pretty often. I took the first open empty seat, it was at the front if the class. I shared a table with a boy in a white dress shirt and a grey and black diamond checkered sweater vest. The boy didn't even look at me, instead he seemed to be reading a science textbook. The bell sounded and the teacher stood up. She introduced her self then took roll call.
At the name of "Castiel Novak." The boy next to me looked up from his book and rose his hand. Castiel, that's a really odd name. I decided not to bring that up as a conversation started. When the teacher called my name many eyes darted in my detection. It might be the first day of school but this is a small community, everyone knows everyone. "Alright, let's start off with some easy science questions. They are gonna slowly get harder." The whole room let out a loud grown. I hid my smile this was my chance to prove my self. At every question the teacher asked I rose my hand and soon the hands around me became less common until it was just me and Castiel raising our hands to answers. Then the teacher said."What is a wave that causes the particles of a medium to vibrate parallel to the direction the wave travels?" I was stumped, so was seemingly the rest of the class until I saw a shy hand raise from beside me. The teacher smile "Castiel?"
"The answer is compressional. It could also be know as longitudinal," he said softly.
"Yes! Very good Castiel!" The teacher was smiling widely. The rest of that first period contained a small test, then the teacher told us we could socialize.
I sighed and looked over at Castiel who was now back to reading his book. "Um, hi my name is Sam. I'm new in town."
"I know, Sam," he didn't look up. "My name is Castiel."
"Um, you're very smart."
At that he looked up at me. "Thank you."
"You're welcome, cause it's true."
I saw a smile play at his lips "You are quite smart as well."
"Thanks," I laughed. "What do you do in your free time."
Now he actually had a small smile on his face. "Watch nerdy movies, read books and play video games."
At that I smile. "Well you're not scared to tell the truth. What's your favorite movie?"
"Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith"
"Oh, I love that one! I can't wait to see the new Star Wars movies!" And so started a great friend ship.

Right before lunch I met Castiel at his locker, a red haired girl was standing there too.
"You must be the new boy, Sam," she held out her hand to me. I shook it.
"Ya," but before I could ask what her name was we were interrupted.
"Hey, Cassie," an older looking boy walked up behind the girl. The boys smile had the effect of making him look as though he was up to something. "Ah, Granger. Good to see you."
The girl looked up at the boy. "Hi, Gabe." She greeted.
"What do you want, Gabriel?" Castiel asked making the blond haired boy frown.
"To check up on my little brother," then his eyes fell on me. "And meet the new kid. Heard you had made a new friend, Cassie." He didn't take his eyes off me. This of course forced me to look up into his eyes. They were gold! This boy, Gabriel, his eyes were actually gold! I didn't know eyes could do that, the only time I'd see gold eyes it was on anime shows. And those golden eyed people had dark brown hair or black hair. But Gabriel had blond hair. It really did give an effect to his face, it made him look... Well like an angel.
"Hi," I said shyly, but I was still too amazed by his eyes to look away. "My name is Sam."
Gabriel smiled more widely. "Well, sweet thing. It's nice to meet you." At that he took a lolly pop out of him pocket and licked it in a way that I can only describe as seductively.
"Gabriel," Castiel didn't seem amused. "That is the most cliche nickname you've ever made."
Gabriel laughed. "Not in the way I mean it, little brother." Gabriel winked at me as he walked away.
"He's always like that," the girl Gabriel had called Granger sighed.
"Wow," I suddenly became aware of how flustered I felt. "Um," I mumbled regaining my self. "Gabriel called you Granger?"
"Oh, Gabe has a nickname for everyone. My real name is Charlie. Also you don't have to use his full name, only Cassie does that," Charlie explained.
"Why Granger?"
At that both Charlie and Castiel started laughing "When Gabriel first met Charlie we were talking about Harry Potter. More precisely, why Hermione Granger is the best female character of all time," Castiel smiled at the memory.
"So you guys like the Harry Potter books too?"
"More like live and die by the fandom!" Charlie screeched.
Castiel and I laughed. "That's great we should have a movie marathon some time!"
"Sounds like a plan," Charlie nudged my shoulder. "Sam."
