*Cas POV*

All the blood, all the death. Hundreds of Angels dying before my eyes. I smiled with pride, I was so powerful now. I could kill millions in seconds. I am god. My wings felt so much stronger and I flew down to earth.

I woke up shaking and covered in sweat. Slowly my memories of reality came back to me. It was now the second week of school. My life had been much the same but so how so much better. Every time Dean passed my in the hallway I could feel my eye lighting up in joy. Dean would normally smile at me or wave, sometimes he would even say, hi. During the 1st week of school we had finished The Lord of The Rings trilogy and the 2 Hobbit movies. Every night Dean and Sam had come over to watch the movies with Gabriel and me. Dean and I had become quite close. But neither of us had brought up the biggest question, what happened to my parents. I don't really know why Dean hasn't asked yet, it's very obvious we don't have a parental guardian. I may not know why but part of me thanks him for the silents on the topic. I don't want to elaborate on the topic, I'm not even sure I can.

There was a knock at my door, "Cas, you up?" Gabriel's voice drifted through the door.

"Yep," I called back.

"If you want a ride to school today I can't be your diver. I'm sick," Gabriel said.

"Alright, Thanks for the early heads up Gabriel, I'll walk to school today. Could you inform Michael?"

"Ya, ya. We really need to work on your uptight word choice, Cassie," Gabriel grumbled and I heard him walk slowly away from the door. I laughed and got dressed.

I'm a bit rusty on my walking to school skills. When we were young, before Michael, Gabriel and Anna could drive I walked to school every day. In fact we all did in a big Novak family group. Michael was always in the lead shortly followed by Gabriel. Anna and I were always in the middle and Balthazar was last. Through out much of my life Anna has been a sort of annoyance and bullying figure. But she was never really that bad, all bark no bite. But before he ran away from home Lucifer (my second oldest brother Lucifer) was much worse than Anna. Lucifer would come home covered in bruises and scratches from fights. When ever he was in a bad mood he would lash out at Gabriel and I. Normally he just yelled and threw stuff but every once and a while he would get physical. The fight between Michael and Lucifer that made Lucifer run away was about Gabriel and I. I had gone to school with a black eye and when my teacher asked what it was from and I didn't have a good answer for I the teacher called my Mother. Michael found out and immediately confronted Lucifer knowing it was Lucifer who had given me the wound. Long story short Michael and Lucifer fought with both words and fists. Michael won, Lucifer left. I frowned down at the ground, the haunting memories of my older brother gave me a feeling of worry again.

"Castiel!" I jumped at the sound of my name. I turned to see a man walking towards me. "I am so happy I finally found you, Cas." He went to hug me but I ducked away from his arms.

"I don't know you," I stated simply looking for my escape plan.

The man smiled. "Of course. Ya, I forgot," He shrugged. "Even I can make mistakes," He laughed. I raised an eyebrow, was this guy crazy? "I am your father, but you can call me Chuck."

"I'm sorry, sir, but you must have me confused with someone else. My father has been dead for about 9 years now," I frowned any look of light there was on my face disappeared.

"Oh ya, in this world I'm dead. Forgot that too.." The man sighed. "I'm sorry, Cas."

"Uh, I got to go-" As I was about to turn and go the man grabbed my arm.

"No Castiel, I can't let you do that. Not yet," The man's grip was surprisingly strong. I struggled trying to pull away. The man held me still firmly, then with 2 fingers he touched my forehead. The world dissolved around me.

"Hello, Dean," I said calmly looking over at him. This Dean was much older than the one I was used to. But some how he still looked exactly the same. I would say Dean jumped in shock at my words but truth be told Dean had seen far too much to jump at me popping up in his passenger set unannounced. "Are you alright?"

"Ya, I'm fine," He looked over at me, "How are you?"

"Just wanted to check in," I was lying, I was there because I was in trouble. I was there because when ever I am around Dean I feel better some how. Even if I'm walking into my death.

"So any word on Satan Jr. being alive?" He asked looking over at me again. His amazing green eyes locked with my blue ones.

I shook my head, I was lying once again. "I'm looking believe me. I just don't understand how Crowley could have tricked me."

"Cause he a tricky son of a bitch, that's how," Dean growled. Then his voice softened "Doesn't matter. But if he is up and kicking then what does matter is finding him, ripping his head off as shoving it up his ass."

I nodded. "What about you? You found anything?"

"No, nothing yet."

"Where's Sam?"

"He's keeping busy. He's tracking a jin in Omaha as we speak. I'm headed out there right now to meet up with him."

"I'd help if I could," I was the single most truthful thing I had said to him so far in that conversation.

"Ya, I get it. No worries," His tone changed again, less casually more carrying and definitely concerned. "But, Cas you'll call right?" I looked over at him confused. "If you get into real trouble?" It was to big of a lie, I half nodded. Then opened my wings and took off.

The vision was a pointless conversation in the scheme of things. But it was enough. I could tell by the look on Chuck's face he knew it too. "What the hell was that?" I snarled.

"It was a memory, my son," Chuck smiled. "But you know that. You've been having horrible nightmare I presume?" How did he know, I nodded. "Those are memories too. But they're the bad ones, Cas. There are great memories you are missing. Memories of Dean," Chuck said dangling a invisible line in front me, he had hooked me already.

I nodded "Alright. What is your point?" I asked.

Chuck took a glint of silver out of his jacket. He dangled it so I could see. It was a dog tag, only impossibly light. It seemed to shine. It had a name written on the front: CASTIEL. Something about the necklace made me want to gab it, somehow I felt like I needed to. But when I went to grab it Chuck pulled it away. "Not just yet, Castiel," He pulled out more necklaces. They all had different names. He handed me one. On one side it read Dean and on the other Winchester.

"How is this real? Why should I believe you?" I snarled at the man. Chuck responded in handing my another necklace. This one read Gabriel on one side and Grace on the other.

"You don't understand yet but you soon will. For you, Gabriel and Balthazar these are more than just your memories. They are also your grace," Chuck talked as though he was explaining but nothing made sense.

"Our what?"

"Castiel, I must go now but-" He handed my all of the necklaces. "Take good care of these, don't lose them and only ever give them to the person whose name in on it." Chuck began walking away.

"Wait, you can't go I don't-" I stopped mid sentence and Chuck disappeared in a bright white light. I gaped at the place Chuck had disappeared at. My father? Memories? This made no sense. I looked down at the dog tags and pulled mine out of the group. Castiel and Grace. I rubbed the shining surface then stuffed the lot of them in my backpack. I was going to be late for school if I didn't hurry.
