Chapter 11

He just walked through passed me. I admit it, I was hurt because I was expecting him to say sorry atleast. Well, I guess he really mean what he said.  I tried not to overthink. The rest of my classes went smooth. One last subject today and we're done. Naghiwalay na kami ni Gab cause we're not in the same class. I'm 10 minutes late already dahil pumila pa ako sa elavator pero nakailang balik na ang elevator ay hindi pa din ako makasakay dahil sa taas ng pila ng mga studyante. Pinili ko na lang akyatin ang 6th floor gamit ang hagdan. Nang makarating ako ay tumakbo na ako papuntang classroom.

"Good afternoon Sir, I'm sorry I'm late" hinihingal na bati ko.

"Last vacant seat at the back hurry up" mataray na sagot niya.  I immediately roamed my eyes and looked for the vacant seat he's referring to. 

SHIT!

Mukhang nagulat din si Ethan na makita ako. 3 chairs per row ito. At sa gitna ang bakante. Nasa kaliwa ko si Ethan at sa kanan naman ay isang lalaki.

"Get 1/4 and write your name, course, expectation in this subject. Pass it after 10 minutes"

Kumuha ako ng papel sa bag ko at hinati ito. Napansin kong walang papel si Ethan kaya nilagay ko ang kalahati nito sa desk niya at tinalikuran siya.

Hindi man lang marunong mag thankyou!

I'm already done writing but nobody has pass their papers yet. Inipit ko na muna ang papel ko sa binder at lumabas para mag banyo. Bumalik agad ako sa classroom, I saw Ethan peeking on my binder. 

What the fuck is he doing?

Nakita niya akong nakatayo sa pinto at agad niyang sinarado ang binder ko. And I don't want to assume but I think already did. 

Stop fucking with my feelings Ethan!

Hindi ko siya sinita. Nanatili akong tahimik.

"May nakapagsabi na ba sayong maganda ka?" nagulat akong napatingin sa lalaking nakaupo sa kanan ko.

"Mas lalo kang gumaganda kapag nagba-blush ka" sabi niya.

"Thanks?" alanganing sagot ko.

"Archie Alvarez" inabot niya ang kamay niya, I accepted it and shake his hands.

"Megan Bernardino"

"New student?" tanong niya

"Yes, transferee from the province" I shortly answered.

"Why did you transferred?"

"My mom died, so I decided to start a new life here" 

"Sino kasama mo dito?" he asked.

"No one. Mag isa na lang ako sa buhay, the rest of my relatives is at Washington and-" Ethan cut me off.

"If you two are just going to ask each other's whereabouts why not do that outside!" ang sama ng tingin niya samin ni Archie.

"Bro wag ka naman bastos" Archie said.

"We're not close so don't call me bro" lumingon naman siya sakin

"You're really this low Meg?" 

"Fuck you!" I'm looking at him straight in the eyes habang nililigpit ko ang aking gamit. I stormed out of the room right away. I felt my phone vibrate

for movie date today. Bawi ako next time!

I let a heavy sigh and replied.

No problem Mish have fun!

I dialed Gab's number.

"Meg" he answered.

"I'm done with class, are you?" I asked. I walked to the elevator, pressed the button and waited.

"Yup let's meet downstairs hurry up ah" bumaba na ako at nakita ko na si Gab na nakaupo sa bench.

"Punta tayo sa condo, wala ako sa mood pumasyal but I could really use some company right now" I sadly said pumayag naman siya kaya dumiretso na kami sa parking lot. He brought his own car kaya nag convoy na lang kami pauwi.

"Ang ganda ng unit mo Meg!" I put my bag on the couch and opened my ref to get the mango float. Kumuha din ako ng plato at kutsara, nilapag ko ang mga yon sa dining table.

"Regalo to ni tita sakin, hindi ko nga to ine-expect eh kala ko mag do-dorm lang ako" nag order kami ng pizza at nanuod ng movie hanggang mag gabi. Nag order kami ulit ng Chinese food for our dinner.

"Alam mo ba I've been into a lot of relationship but lahat hindi tumagal, I'm giving up on love na" biro niya. Tumayo ako para kumuha ng tubig namin.

"Ako naman hindi pa, I like flirting and dating before pero hindi pa dumating sa point na napasagot ako ng oo" sinalinan ko siya ng tubig at binuksan ko rin ang can ng softdrink na kinuha ko. 

"Gab may alam ka ba na lugar na they do gigs around my area?" I asked.

"Hmm, meron naman. Pero para saan?" 

"Para makapag ipon ako gusto ko kasing madagdagan ang pera ko sa bangko" kinuha ni Gab ang phone niya at may tinawagan ito. 

"Hi Dan" I'm listening while eating my dumplings and shanghai rolls nag refill ako ng chili sauce at nilagyan ito ng toyo.

"So I have a friend here na gusto ko sanang ipasok sa bar mo as singer, she's very beautiful. Trust me! You'd like her! Tonight? That's great! Okay, you'll see! Bye" 

"I got you in" he winked
