22. [Takao x reader]

“(y/n)!!! Come here!!!” your best friend, (best friend name), waved her hand towards you and you decided to come.

“What is it (best friend name)?”

“What do you think about this guy?” She asked as she shoved her phone in front of your face. You looked at the screen which shown a boy at your age and you thought he’s cute but you tried to keep your composure.

“A-ahem, ermm, he seems nice…?”

“I’ll introduce you to him if you want! Then we could have double date!”

“Ehh?!”

“I think you matched each other! He’s a good guy and funny though he can be flirty sometimes. I’m sure you’ll fall for him. What do you think?”

“Um… I’m not sure.”

“Pleaseeee, you know I like Midorima, right? I actually want to go on a date with him but it’ll be awkward if only the two of us went.” You knew that your best friend already have feelings for the green haired male in a long time. You really want the ship to sail, since you adore them too.

“Fine, I’ll go with you.”

“Yay!!! Thank you (y/n)!! You’re the best!”

~ The day at the mall ~

You just met your best friend in front of (your fav store) as a meeting point. She just stared at you in disbelief. You knew exactly what she’s thinking so you decided to speak up.

“You know I like to wear casual clothing right?”

“I know, but… nevermind.” She said as she turned her head and found the two boys.

“Midorima! Takao!” Your bestie waved at them and they quickly notice you two.

“Hello! (best friend name)-chan! (Y/n)-chan!”

You wondered how he knew your name and you immediately looked at your best friend who’s now grinning. You almost scolded her but decided not to since the boys are now standing in front of you.

“(y/n), this is Takao.”

“H-hello Takao-san.”

“Let’s start the double date!” your best friend exclaimed.

Time passed and the four of you walked around the mall, ate some food, played arcade games, and did things that a couple would do. As time went by, you learned more about Takao and vice versa. Just like what your bestie said, he’s kind and funny, you laughed at his jokes and sometimes he would tease you but you wouldn’t mind. The date was the opposite of what you had thought. You thought it would be boring or awkward but it was fun. Takao seemed not minding about your casual style, he said he liked the way you are.

You’re now in your bedroom, getting ready to sleep and you hear your phone rang twice. You slide the screen and see two messages. One from your best friend and one from a new number. You decided to open your best friend’s text first.

What do you think about Takao? I knew you were exchanging phone numbers today, so did he text you?? Do you like him? *wink*

You tapped the back symbol and tapped on the other text.

Hi (y/n)-chan! It’s me, Takao!😁 Today was fun and I hope we can do it again in the the near future! Sorry if I disturbed you😅

Good night (y/n)-chan!😙

You smiled at his text and replied.

Thank you for today :) And yeah I agree with you, it was fun! Let’s do it again sometime. Good night!

You went back to your bestie’s text and typed.

He’s really funny and caring at the same time. And he just texted me… Do I like him? ...

Ah-ahem… There was this one time when one of my besties asked me to go on a double date (is this count as blind date too? Idk really...) with her but I said no😅 since it was so sudden and I’m a poker face girl... which will make it awkward if they joked about something and I’ll be spacing out or having my poker face😅
