Dear Diary,
At 7:00 I headed for the dining hall with Emily. Oh no, I thought. I would see Jacob. Panic rushed through my body, leaving a queasy feeling in my stomach. We went into the dining hall to heat chatter and smell nice food. There was a lot of food to choose from like: a mixture of veggies, an array of meat and many side portions. I choose mashed potatoes, carrots and some chicken. I wasn't very hungry but I decided it would be better to eat rather then hungry later. It's not like I'm at home where mom can just whip up anything in 15 minutes. I was over at the desserts section, trying to choose between apple pie and strawberries and cream, when right beside me, there was Jacob. We locked eyes for a moment before I snap at him,
"Why do you keep following me around everywhere!?" he didn't do his usual grin and laugh it off, instead he stared at me stonily and said,
"Didn't know it was a crime to pick out a dessert." I then felt really bad.
"Look, I'm sorry for that. It was rude. It's just... my parents got divorced recently and I'm still trying to... digest it. Take it in." I said not looking into his deep, dangerous, green eyes.
"Why don't we leave dessert. Go for a walk instead?" Jacob said looking at me. I smiled and said,
"Yeah".I'll tell Emily when we get back, I thought to myself. When we got outside Jacob took my hand. I shook it off. He doesn't say anything. He pushed one of his dark, glossy curls behind his ear. He looked at me and said,
"You should wear your hair down. It would look nicer." I got angry.
"I don't need your advice on how to look nice, thank you very much!"All of a sudden I had and overwhelming urge to kiss him. I leaned up and placed my lips against him. I loves every like, two and a half seconds of it until he pulled away.
"What are you doing!?" he said.
"I um, did you not enjoy it?" I said hopefully.
"Not really no." he said. It was like a stab to my heart. I could feel a wave of sorrow wash over me. He walked away and didn't turn back.
