Love is a Burden

Chapter 2

You made contact with something hard. It was the ground. You held your breath waiting to die, or at least feel any pain. The only thing thing you felt was the wind being knocked out of you. Your gaze hazed as you struggled to breathe. You could see what you fell on. It was a patch of small yellow flowers, how you survived was a mystery. You looked up gently, your breath coming back to you. The hole you fell from was at least fifty feet above you. You sighed looking around. It was pretty dark, but faint sunlight was coming from the hole above you. You could faintly see that there were walls around you, and they were all purple. You began to panic. 'Oh God, the rumors about monsters were true!!' You thought, trying to get up. You weren't able to so you just sat there wallowing in your panicked thoughts. Out of the corner of your eye you saw something move, and you froze. 'What the hell was that?!' You thought looking in the direction of the movement.  "Are you okay?" a small voice asked from behind you. You turned and screamed.

                        -Frisk's POV-
The person screamed and turned to me. "Auuugh please don't hurt me!!" They screamed as their arms instinctively came up. "Hey I won't hurt you!" I said quickly walking up to them. They seemed to calm down once I came closer. I looked at them, and noticed it was a guy. He had long h/c hair that was a little messy, and covering his face. All I could see was his left eye. I could only see a little of his face but what I could see was bleeding and bruised. I put my hand out to him. "Here let me help you." I said with a smile, he smiled back and took my hand. I tried to help him up, but I wasn't strong enough. "Heh, here let me go get help." I said softly he glanced at me, a whisper coming from  him. "Okay, please don't be long." I smiled at him reassuringly. "Of course." He smiled weakly, laying down in the pile of flowers. I smiled and called Toriel. 'Please answer' I thought hurriedly as the phone rang. She answered. "Hello my child, how are you? Are you in need of assistance?" I smiled once I heard her calm voice. " A human has fallen, and I think they  need help." I could hear her calm voice panic a little. "Are they seriously injured?!" I looked back at him nervously. "Maybe? I don't know, but he's bleeding pretty badly." I heard her hang up as I put the phone away. "Help will be here shortly." I said calmly, looking back at the human. I walked over to them, and decided to start up a conversation. "So what's your name?" I asked him, sitting down near him.      "Y/n." He said gently, raising his hand so I could shake it. I chuckled and shook his hand. "What's yours?" He asked his hair shifting with his movement. "Frisk." I said smiling.

                         -Y/n's POV-
I smiled at the kid named frisk. The seemed pretty nice, and after all they were helping me. I looked around, frowning at the scenery. I gingerly touched my face as I thought, and felt something warm and sticky. I knew what it was, so I just wiped my hand on my shirt. I sighed and glanced at the kid. "Hey, thanks for helping me, I really appreciate it." They smirked and looked up at the hole above me. "Its really not a problem, I mean what would you have done if I didn't help you?" They laughed a little and looked behind them, I tried to focused on whatever they were looking at, but I couldn't. "Oh my..." I heard a woman's voice say gently.  "Is she okay?" I looked at the source of the woman's voice. It was a monster!? She was a goat. She had to be about 6ft. maybe even taller. She was wearing a black dress with red sides, and in the middle on her chest was a weird embel of some sort. I tried to look at her face, but all I saw was large yellow eyes. My vision was beginning to falter, and I was losing feeling in my legs. She ran to me and picked me up, holding me close to her chest. "Come my child!!" I heard her voice say faintly. "We must get her home!!" As I drifted into unconsciousness, I saw the woman's face, and on it was a look of pure determination.

(Its not a typo when Toriel says 'her' in this chapter. She thinks you're a girl cause your hair is covering your face.)
