The Ride Home

                                             Chapter 10 The Ride Home

 I was surprised when Darian asked me if I needed a ride home. At first I politely rejected but then he almost pleaded with me to come, so I decided against my gut and I accepted. So here I was getting into his nice car.

 When I was seated and had my seat belt on Darian smiled at me relaxing me a bit and I smiled back at him. I just suddenly noticed that Darian's face was completely healed and I gasped, Darian turned his toward me with a worried look.

 "How the heck did you heal so fast?" I more demanded then asked and Darian shrugged before replying "I guess I just heal fast. It kinda runs in my family." He said while laughing and the worried expression was no longer visible

"Well I wish I could heal that fast." I said before putting a pout on my face and Darian laughed and I smiled a genuine smile.

" I suppose I should be getting you back before dark." Darian said and I just realized that we haven't even pulled out from school yet. "Hey, what is your address?" Darian asked and I told him and then we pulled out.

 From there we where just driving in an rather awkward silence until Darian broke it, "Well, I shall put on some music!" He said excitedly and when he put on music and I was rather shocked when he started singing along with the song.

 His singing, no offense, was horrible and totally off key and it wasn't long before I started laughing my head of by the way he was singing and making hand motions with his free hand.

 By the time I got home I was crying from laughing so hard. "Well that was fun! Thanks for driving me." I said trying to dry my tears "I had fun too, I guess I'll have to drive you home more often. See ya later." Darian said and sent me a smile before driving off.

 Now it was time to face an even greater horror then school. That horror would be my father.

 I finally built up the courage to go inside and as soon I opened the door my father stood towering over me with an intimidating look in his eyes.

 What shocked me is what he said as soon as he saw me.

Important authors note, I will be leaving for a couple of weeks to go visit family, and I won't be taking my laptop as far as I know. So that means I won't be updating for a while. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, and it would mean a lot if you would kindly...........
