Wait, What?

                               Chapter 13 Wait What?

     I couldn't believe who was at the park so instead of going to the park I abruptly turned and ran straight home. As soon as I got home I ran into the living room and I was surprised to see my Father there just waiting for me.

 He got up of the couch and took a step toward me and I took a step back feeling scared. He raised his hands in a surrendering motion before taking more steps toward me until he was right in front of me. I looked up to meet his eyes and he let his hands fall to his sides.

 "Where were you?" He asked calmly and softly but with authority

 "I just went to the park." I answered and he rose his hand toward my cheek and I flinched away afraid that he would hit me but I was surprised when he put his hand gently on my cheek.

 "I have something to tell you." He said slowly and when he realized I wasn't going to say anything he continued "I have been holding this off and now I think that you deserve to know. I got remarried." He rushed out and my eyes went wide and my mouth agape

"W-What?" I asked still unsure what he said was true

 "I am remarried. I'm sorry but we got married two days ago and I didn't know how to tell you. She want's to move in, after our honeymoon."

 "Honey-honeymoon?" I asked

 "Yes, we will be leaving later this evening for two weeks." He said and then he just walked out of the living room leaving me alone to think.

 I slumped to the floor, falling on my knees as my head swirled I was getting dizzy with all the thoughts swimming around my mind. How could he do that, how could he do that to mom? I thought he loved her, but now he is replacing her. How  could he. I let my tears fall knowing that life as I know it would change drastically at the end of two weeks. He betrayed me and my mom.

 I quickly rose to my feet and ran out the door to the only safe place I knew. It was a ways away from here, but if I run fast enough I could get there. So I started running as fast as I can until I was tripped. I caught myself before I made face-first contact with the gravel and I turned to see who tripped me and then I saw a blonde girl and her minions. She had a smug look on her face, but I didn't care. I walked up to her and she was just about to say something but I punched her as hard as I could before she could utter a sound. She fell backwards landing on her back holding her now broken jaw. I smiled a genuine smile that needed to be let out. I laughed and then I ignored the glares I was getting from her minions and I ignored the tears falling down the blondes face. I just took off running not caring about anything that has happened in my life. As soon as I got there I collapsed on my back and I fell asleep.

 It was peaceful and calm. An overwhelming feeling like as if nothing will ever hurt me here. I looked around and found I was in a meadow and I could see patches of wild flowers and I could hear unmistakable sound of laughter. I walked over toward the laughter as if it was calling out to me. I saw me, when I was younger and I saw my........my mother chasing me around the meadows. She was smiling her beautiful smile and her eyes had pure happiness in them I saw me running around trying to aviod my mother. I looked free, careless of the world and all it's cruelties. My mom finally caught the younger version of myself and she started swing me around and around until they both fell on their backs. "I love you so much, and as long as I am here I wont let anything hurt you." My mom said

 "I know you won't mommy." Answered the younger me

 "But you aren't here anymore mommy." I heard myself mumble before I felt immense pain and I jolted awake clutching my stomach as pain erupted as if I was being stabbed over and over again and trust me, I have been stabbed before so I know what that feels like. It felt as if my heart was torn out of my body and thrown into a deep abyss. I knew that the pain was from him..... I knew it.

 I walked toward the edge hearing the unmistakable sound of waves crashing against the rocks. I stood on the edge for who knows how long until I decided it was time to let go...........so I did, I let go and I leaned forward over the edge seeing the ocean until I was falling. I could feel the wind against my face and I closed my eyes and let darkness consume me.
