Today Faith was wondering around town, she was very happy to be back in London. After all it was her favourite place in the world, partly because most of her memories were there, the other part you don't need to know. She had been to some places where she used to go, and then explored the new places they'd built and the very large shopping centre they'd added. When she had finished, the sun was nearly setting, she had only one more place to go on her list. She had an hour in there, then home and she was satisfied with that.
She walked to her favourite place in the whole of England, the library, not the one she first met John in, the one where Sherlock and her spent hours, reading all sorts of books. Old, new, history, science, the odd romance book. But there was one very special book she came to read, it was 550 pages and Sherlock had been reading it to her every since they met, they were 491 pages in. She always wanted to finished the book so she grabbed it off the self and curled up in a corner, quietly reading
She'd read about 10 pages, but it was different without Sherlock there, without hearing the words roll of his tongue in his deep silky voice. She exhaled softly holding the book close to her chest and that's when she heard it.
"May I join you?" he was here
She smiled into the book and looked up, so he still came to the library every Saturday for the last half hour.
"You may." She whispered
He sat himself next to her and gave him the book, he reed to her for the next half hour and it was wonderful, so many words, so many emotions. And all so beautiful in that moment, he was beautiful, everything about him was so perfect then and there. She found herself lost in his words, heart beating fast, almost nothing could break her out of it. He looked away from the page and into her eyes. Love was always dangerous for Sherlock, caring wasn't an advantage, that's what he'd been brought up with. But this was different, this was the women who he took into his life, the one that was just a girl who was helpless but had so much potential. He taught her everything and anything she wanted to know, he did anything for her. He wasn't in love well he didn't think so, but he had a friend a very good friend.
They spent many moments looking into each-others eyes, the silence was beautiful at that and Sherlock licked his lip, and she mirrored him.
"library closed in 5 minutes everyone!" The Liberian yelped and there stair was broken.
On the way out Mrs. Kincella smiled at the pair.
"Welcome back Faith." She said smiling and Faith returned it sweetly
"Felt as if I never even left." Faith commented before leaving with Sherlock.
Back at the apartment John was getting ready for a date, and he was about to leave when Sherlock and Faith got back.
"Where have you two been?" He asked
"I was at the library," Faith answered
"I was at um ScotlandYard." Sherlock replied before walking to his bedroom and shutting the door.
"Whats wrong with him?" John asked sitting on the lounge
"Oh, his in a mood again, must have been the lib, um Sally. Don't you have a date John?"
"Well yes, but I have a few minutes to spare."
"What do you need to know?"
"What happened?"
"Where?"
"At the library, obviously."
"Nothing, John, nothing happens in library."
And that was it, John left.
