The golden late-afternoon light danced upon the thrones and stone floor of the Extended Council's throne room; reflecting the peaceful mood of the Extended Realm Council members.
The Extended Council had not officially called a meeting - at least not with the original Realm Council. The main heroes were off doing something unbelievably lame (in the eyes of the Extended Council) for a change of pace.
Negotiating peace talks between the Ghost Zone, Curseworld, and Jinnjago. Yeah, that was a recipe for chaos.
Jay had put it best. "I'd rather negotiate with Terrence than with at least 15 angry ghosts."
So the Realm Council had thought that it'd be in their best interests to leave the Extended Council to watch over the castle and the realms while the main council went to deal with the angry ghosts. Seemed to be a fair trade in the eyes of the Extended Council.
The orders that were charged to the Extended Council members were simple: protect the realms, don't mess with anything of major importance in relation to the realms, and don't burn the castle to the ground.
Like any of that would happen. Note the heavy sarcasm.
Wilbur Robinson glanced at Sokka, who was slouched over in his seat, eyes half-open and unfocused. The former raised an eyebrow. Should a Realm Hero be slouched over like that?
Wilbur felt his lips twist into a slight smirk. If his mom saw Sokka's current position, she'd duct-tape him to the seat to straighten him up. She was always harping Wilbur about good posture, whether he was sitting or standing. Her methods helped too - Wilbur was often considered one of the more "prim" (in terms of mannerisms, not in terms of combat or wisecracks) members of the Extended Council.
Evidently, the smirk did something, because Sokka straightened at once. "Why are you smirking at me like that?"
Wilbur wiped his face of any emotion, though the thought of it lingered. "What smirk?"
"Fight me, Robinson," Sokka drew his boomerang, glaring daggers. "I saw it." Wilbur sprang to his feet, hand on his Electrobolt Switch.
"Cool it, both of you," Katara laid a hand on her brother's chest. "We have a quiet Realm Castle for once and you two morons plan to make some noise?"
"But that's the point," Sokka snootily replied, "There's no noise, so we have to make some."
"Katara's right," Zuko shifted, "Just because there is no noise is not an excuse to make noise."
"You sound like your uncle," Alex smiled primly.
"Or his mother," Lewis sent a sly smirk in Wilbur's direction, effectively shutting him up.
"Well," Aang spoke, "Since none of the main council is here to tell us anything, what do you say we-"
He was cut off as a hologram of Mickey Mouse flickered to life. "Thank Yen Sid I could get through!" He cried.
The Extended Council stiffened at once. The situation had to be pretty dire if Mickey was swearing by the great sorcerer Yen Sid.
"What is it, Mickey?" Hiro asked.
"Something has happened! Get here now!" Mickey ordered.
"We're on our way!" Violet and Wilbur jinxed, leaping from their seats.

They arrived in Disney in record time. "What's the issue?" Alex called.
"The lights," Mickey mumbled, "The lights!"
