The Bears rolled lazily on the main road from Lion City, their Chi safely secured in bags on their Speedorz for the journey. While they weren't snoring yet, the warm sunshine and gentle breeze combined with the gentle roar of the Speedor engine served to be a perfect lullaby. Soon, Bladvic and the other bears began to drift off.
Little did they know of the danger approaching them.
"Stop those teddies and steal their Chi!" Crooler ordered, having decided to command this mission herself (She was that certain the Bears would lose the fight). Two silver Chronopolian trucks and four Chronopolian bikes raced after the dozing Bears.
However, despite what Crooler thought, the Bears were awake enough to hear her remark. "Ready the hives," Bungey murmured. The Bears all seized the beehives attached to their Speedorz and chucked them at the Tigions behind them. Extra sticky golden honey splattered all over the Tigion troops.
"Honey?" Tetris (a rookie Chronopolian guard) asked while licking the sweet substance from her claws.
"The honey's not the problem," Telandon gaped and pointed to their left. "It's the bees!"
Make no mistake, the bees of Chima were gentle with the Bear Tribe and to a few of the other tribes. But if someone unknown was messing with their honey, they reacted the same way the Lions would when defending the Chi: they got dangerous.
Now they swarmed about the Tigions, stinging and buzzing with all the fury the swarm of about 50,000 bees had. The Tigions moaned and hollered and screeched in pain as they swatted at the insects uselessly. Many swerved off the road and crashed into the trees, but a few held on in the chase.
"HOWL!"
The gray Wolf trucks rammed the Tigion's silver trucks down, bashing them to bits and pieces. Tigions fled the scene by portal, knowing that messing with the Wolf Tribe in Chima was like asking for death.
Bladvic grinned at Worriz. "Thanks for the save."
"Pffft. Piece of cake." Worriz vaulted out of the main truck. "We were the closest protection group to your location. The other groups are out with the other tribes. We have to take the Chi by ground since the windstorms are grounding the jets."
"Are they still trying it?" Bladvic asked.
"Sort of. They try to get those taken care of asap and with a few tanks on the ground in case the wind puts the jets down," Worriz answered. "Laval suggested we take a couple of Lions with us today since they're 'under our protection', but I told him to send them with Cragger's squad since they're traveling by the Rhinos."
"How's he holding up?" Bladvic asked as he readjusted the Chi bag on his Speedor.
"He's fine." Worriz shrugged. "I mean, he seems to be fine. It's not easy to fake death all the time."
"I guess so," Bladvic mused. Then he straightened. "Thanks for the save, Worriz. We didn't lose any Chi this time! Laval will be ecstatic!"
Worriz smiled impossibly wider. "That's always good news."

"Daddy?"
The whisper was so soft that most folks would've missed it.......except for the intended audience.
King Lagravis slid open his eyes as the full moon blazed through the windows and bathed the little Lion cub quivering in front of him. "Laval?" He asked and groggily sat up "Are you okay?"
