Hunter's Light (A RWBY x Destiny Reader Insert)

(A/N):
Welcome to the first chapter and my first book, Hunter's Light. This first chapter won't be like most others as it is written in excerpts of the main character's journal from his past life, and due to me being tired there are bout to be mistakes so feel free to point them out for me. I always appreciate constructive criticism.

But without further ado, the prologue of Hunter's Light.

"Pain, it is all I've known for the past 5 years. The branding, the starvation, the abuse, and now, the rape...all of these factors with the addition of continuous head trauma influenced my decision to start a journal as insurance against memory loss. It will have the basics of what has happened in the past for you to come back to in the event of said memory loss. Just remember the past young wolf, even if it hurts."

- Preface found in the journal of "The Wise Wolf", dated 37 years before the Great War.

Excerpt 1 - week 1:
"My name is.....well I don't exactly remember my name. My parents have always said that they carved it into my back so that I'd never forget what family owns me, but I can't see it and they don't let me get close enough to a reflective surface to look, but back on topic, I am 10 years old and this abuse has been going on for years now, but today....today was different. Today my mother came in and...raped me, telling me that it's the only thing I'll ever be good for....I want to run away.....away from Earth...away from my parents and to Vale to get away from it all, but I can't..."

Excerpt 94 - week 94:
"It had just occurred to me that I never specified what exactly earth is. This is due to the fact that I had to read back through the excerpts to remember some of the little things, but all that aside. Earth is one of the continents on this planet of Remnant, it is the dragon shaped one in the top left of the map, north of the continent of Sanus where the kingdoms of Vale and Vacuo reside. I am now 11 years old and about to turn 12 and the beatings and starvation sessions are becoming more frequent yet the branding has stopped."

Excerpt 209 - week 209:
"I am now 2 years older making me 14, and from what I've heard _____ sorry about the mess on the page, my parents suddenly started to run up the stairs to my room and I panicked making me lose my train of thought....everything's getting worse now....."

Excerpt 364 - week 364:
"I just turned 17 and I don't think I'll be able to last much longer. I've managed to get my hands on a hunting knife that my dad left embedded in my stomach, and I've began to use my blood as ink as they found my pencil, but they didn't find my journal. Thank the lords. I'm planning on jumping my parents the next time they come here....if it works then there will be another entry, and if not, then this wolf will hunt no more."

"IT WORKED! Haha! After all these years I finally stood up to them.....but I don't think I'm going to be able to survive out here......"

Excerpt 365 - week 365:
"12 years can change someone, good, bad......depressed, and they have done just that. Those years of pain have left me nothing but scars and trauma which will remain until it's all just.......ends...."
