I was out with my friends and you were with yours
We made eye contact for a split second
And it was wonderful

So I built up some courage and walked up to you
We left our group of friends and talked to each other

That was one of the bests days I've ever had

After that you told me about everything that has happened at home, at work, absolutely everything and I enjoyed it with a huge smile even though I've seen everything.
You told me about how Emily is passing her AP classes with high grades, how Julian is the captain of the soccer team and how the twins joined gymnastics as a hobby and are loving it.
I just wished you found that type of happiness again
