i totally forgot about the prequel.
anyway, before some of you english majors murder me for a slight inaccuracy. it is indeed believed that caesar and brutus were good friends. others believe otherwise. for the purpose of my story, we are going to say they were good friends.
at least when used to symbolize the friendship between con and ashton.
another thing...it is believed that brutus truly DID love caesar, but his love for rome was greater. which is why he literally BACKSTABBED his friend.
i thought it could be connected to MITM because maybe, just maybe, con didn't hate ashton as much as he said he did. he just loved claire more.
that is why i named the story 'ides of march' because julius died in the middle of march (march 15th) and backstabbed by brutus who he considered a trusted friend. same happens with ashton. he will be backstabbed by con, who he thought was his bestfriend.
fitting title.
