Emma POV

Josh and Evan grabbed me. Rough, strong fingers dug into my skin, no doubtingly bruising me, as they hauled me up by my arms. I started kicking and screaming, trying to claw at their hands and loosen their grip on me. But it was no use. They still dragged me to what I soon realized was the bathroom. I was flung into the cold tile of the bathtub, my tense and bruised body landing with a thud. I was shivering in fear and cold as they suddenly clogged the bathtub drain and started the water. Turned on high pressure, the freezing cold water soaked me up, making me wail in surprise and pain from the rough cold water battering me at full blast.

"W-What are you doing?!" I called out, but neither answered. My blurred vision briefly caught a glimpse of their expressions. Two sets of icey cold eyes met mine. No amount of begging is gonna help me here. But even if I tried to plead and beg, my chance to do so had run out. When the bathtub was about half full of ice-cold water, two sets of hands grabbed onto me. I felt my hair being fisted in one of their grasps. The next thing I know, my head is being pushed underwater. I was not ready and couldn't control my breathing fast enough to avoid choking on some water. My body thrashed in the struggle to pull my head up to breathe some water and cough out the water in my airways. But strong hands held me pinned down to the bottom of the bathtub.

My lungs burned, and I felt myself about to pass out when I was suddenly roughly yanged above water. My scalp burned from having my hair yanked so forcefully, but I didn't care. I was coughing up water and still thrashing my limbs as if that would help me regain my stolen breath. As soon as I recovered, and not a moment longer, my head was pushed under again. This time, I managed to keep from inhaling underwater, but I didn't get enough oxygen in my lungs to keep me going for too long. My body felt heavy as I felt a boot in the middle of my back, pressing me down. My arms and legs were free, but whoever's foot was pressing me down, left me helplessly thrashing in the tub in a cold panic. I was starting to feel lightheaded. Black dots scattered across my vision. My limbs became heavier with every passing minute.

Is this it? That's how it will end? But there was so much I still wanted to do... Do I deserve this?

With those last thoughts in mind, I opened my mouth and inhaled. Only, it wasn't oxygen.

I woke up with a start and a painful burning sensation in my chest.

"There she is." A voice, Evan, said.

I turned to my side sluggishly and puked and coughed up water. I was lying in a puddle of my own puke when a boot pressed down on my face with enough force to draw a whimper from me.

"That's right, lay in your own filth, just like the trash that you are," Josh said while smirking down at me.

I groaned in pain, the panic bubbling up to mix with my humiliation.

"S-Stop," I managed to choke out weakly.

"What was that? I can't hear you through all that thick slimy layer of patheticness and filth." Josh cupped his ear mockingly as he tilted his head toward me.

"P-Please," I coughed out, my jaw burning in pain as he pressed a bit more of his weight down on me.

"Set her upright," Evan told Josh, who took his sweet time removing his booted foot off my face. Josh crouched near my face, took a fistful of my hair, and pulled me up.

I clenched my jaw, trying to keep down a whimper, my eyes burning with unshed tears. Josh pushed me against the tub, my body shivering more from fear from my wet cold clothes.

"Well, what do you think, little girl?" Evan stood over me, his arms crossed across his chest as he stared me down. Still coughing weakly and trembling violently, I pushed myself further back like a cornered animal. Josh, who stood beside Evan, stared me down, his hands casually inside his pants pockets. Casual, as if he didn't just torture me.

I shifted my gaze down to the wet tile floor, taking note of the trace of my puke smeared across the tiles where I was dragged by Josh. I didn't dare make a sound or even look at his face again.

"Don't you have anything to say?" Evan crouched in front of me, cupping my face with his hand and tilting my face up to meet his eyes. Through my tear-blurred vision, I saw a smirk playing on his lips. "I believe you owe us an apology."

I stared for a long moment at his blue eyes, dumbfounded. "What?" I asked, my voice barely over a whisper. A muscle tightened in Evan's jaw as he bared his teeth at me and tightened his grip on my jaw. "I- I don't." I stuttered, completely confused. I was unable to process their words. Everything was happening so fast around me.

Before I knew it, Evan's hand shifted down from my jaw to my neck. Squeezing hard, he pushed my head violently against the side of the bathtub I was leaning against. My senses were nothing more than a blur of dull pain and a nauseating headache.

"I think she lost half her brain cells." Josh laughed as he lightly nudged my side with the tip of his shoe. I felt another wave of nausea, and before I could hold back, I puked all over Josh's shoe. Evan was not spared.

I did not apologize.
