I Chapter 2 - "The Escape"

Oh snap! No please for the love of whatever it is, please no! I am so not in the mood to do his stupid assignments, not mentioning we have the same classes everyday.

"Roberts! I am so gonna get you!" Alex shouted somewhere along the hallway.

I started speed walking towards the girls comfort room. As soon as I was about to reach the doorknob I saw a sign saying: Sorry, closed for cleaning. Really?! Wow, just wow! What a bad timing, I thought sarcastically.

I am so panicking right now. My friends have all left, since they leave the school early most of the times.

Darn it! What to do, what to do, what to do?! Only one way to escape this torture.

I started rushing towards the exit of the school building when I heard a very familiar, yet annoying voice from somewhere behind me shouting.

"Roberts! You can run but you can't hide!" by the sound of his voice, he sounded so angry and he seems to be pretty close.

Finally, I was outside the school building. I was looking for my bike. Yes I know, a bike. Hey I am only 17 and I might get a car accident if ever I have a car, and I'm not yet ready.

Anyways going back to the topic I was trying to save my butt. As soon as I spotted my bike, I hopped in it and started biking off. But I could here the roar of the engine of Alex's car. Darn it! I forgot! He knows where I live. He lives just across the street! And his dad and my dad are close buds. How could I be so STUPID! AHH!

All I had to do is to keep on pedalling, my house is not far from the school anyways. Finally! I saw my house, my cozy little house. I left my bike at the yard, rushing inside my house then slamming the door behind me.

Oh finally, safe from the Jorck beast! I was so relieved of the fact that I was still alive, that I didn't noticed my mom and my brother sitting at the kitchen, looking at me like they didn't understand a joke. "Hi, (pant) mom, (still panting) hey Kiel."

"Danielle, sweetie. What happened to you? Are you okay? It looks like you've had a wild goose chase!" My mom, asking me those questions like there is no tomorrow. My mom cared about me so bad. She was a nurse before but she had to stop working for a while so she could take care of Ezekiel.

"Ya mom, I'm fine." I replied, "if you mean fine by being chased by Alex Andrews because I ran away from him, knowing he was gonna make me do his assignments, well then yes. I guess I am fine." I said, trying to keep my voice calm.

My mom gave me an It's-all-right look. "Mom! Why does dad have to be so close to Mr. Andrews?!"

"Because we were comrades since we were at high school dear."

My dad replied. Oh my Goodness?! Seriously? I was that relieved that I didn't die today coz of running away from Alex! I was panicking so much I didn't even noticed dad's car being parked outside! "Daddy!" I said running towards him giving him a hug. "Dad, why does Jake have to be so different from his dad? I mean Mr. Andrews is so kind, but why is his son so... so different?!"

"Aww sweetie, give him a chance. You have no idea of what would happen in the future." he said giving me a wink.

I stood in front of the window, looking for signs of that jerk. Thank God there was none. I was also wondering about what my dad had said. Is there really a possibility that Alex would change? Nah, I pushed that thought away from me for a while.

We already finished eating dinner, so I went up to my room to continue doing my assignments and had an early review for the up-coming tomorrow.

I just realized, I might be alive now, but I would probably be dead by tomorrow.
