Title: Meeting the Enemy

Setting: The Underworld

⇝ Minho's dorm room

The new 'prisoner' adjusted himself on the slate he'd been given as a bed. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get comfortable. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't shake the memory of his family from his head, nor could he hold back the tears wondering how desperate they were searching and praying for his return. The lack of pillows or any possible surface of comfort didn't help in softening his thoughts.

It had already been two days and Minho tried to accept that this is what his life had come to. There seemed to be no escape but it still didn't sit right with him.

This is not the furure he imagined. This is not where he planned to find his future partner, not where he wanted to grow his kids. But, I guess in life, you don't always get what you think you'd want.

As he rests his head to the flat and depressed pillow he received, the door opened.

The uninvited guests, who Minho had assumed to be leader when first entering this horrid facility, was Jaebum. He stood at the doorway as if it were his own dorm and spoke, "There's a meeting in five minutes. Be early."

Before he could leave, Minho's awkward stuttering ceased his feet. "I-I-I'll be right-t-t there....I need to change my clothes."

Jaebum pursed his lips slightly, nodding then bringing the door to a close with a glint of a smirk on his face.

Oh, how he loved to intimidate people.

⇝In the Meeting Hall

The occupants all made themselves comfortable in the hall where they'd usually have their meetings.

A meeting was scheduled in a minute or two and they were all filing in. All on their minds: the new recruit. It wasn't long before their thoughts became voiced and a conversation began. The buzz was consistent, as an annoying mosquito following your ear.

"We definitely can't trust him yet." Sugar, a member spoke.

"The boy has no ass, no guts. We may not trust him but he'll do what we say. Trust that." Jaebum chimed in, as he does.

"Give him time, guys. He'll come around. Look at us...most of us didn't come here by choice, but we've grown to love it and be extremely faithful to the cause. It's feels good to get back at the wicked, even if during the process we're seen as the bad guys. It's fine. Everything will eventually come full circle and so will Minho."

"Who gave you so much lines? Why you breathing in so much air?" Jaebum hissed at the younger boy, raising his fist with gritted teeth.

Chan entered, followed by Minho, his head hung and eyes drooping, highly resembling a sad puppy. He silently slumped to the ground, resting slightly on the foot of a couch, facing the front of the room.

Chan acknowledged the gathering and assumed his position. "Let's not discuss members in their possible presence." His authority rung.

"Anyway, new mission time." His hands clasped as he surveyed the un-lit room. "Lee Jaeyeon. High school student. I must have her head." He smirked small, chuckling a bit.

Picking up a brown file from his stack, he flung it to the young man. "Hwang Hyunjin, this is your mission."

For the first time, it seemed that Hwang Hyunjin could have been rendered speechless. So, Jaebum spoke in his place.
